Christ almighty - in the 'trending' section right now there are TWO threads with fucking twee stars to blank out swear words.

This place is going to the fucking dogs!

PurpleDaisies Wed 31-Aug-16 21:19:53

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's noticed.

There is a great thread about the s***m whale for sale in Tesco at the moment.

BlueFolly Wed 31-Aug-16 21:23:07

I recon it's cos of all the threads that've been in the Daily Mail recently. I think it's attracted a different style of mumsnetter. Fucking DM sad face on me right now!

i have been posting quite a bit on mumsnet recently and have found myself swearing a lot more and I feel like I've found my feet a bit. Its very fucking liberating. Everyone should bastard try it.

It's fucking annoying, I agree, do these people not read any threads before they post, so don't realise you can swear? Or have they rocked up to try and set an example?!

Ratley Wed 31-Aug-16 21:41:29

Well, I don't swear, never have.
For the most part its unnecessary, however, if you are a sweary person, you are a sweary person and so why only put half the word. Unless you aren't actually a sweary person and just want to fit in despite being a bit uncomfortable with it.
In short either don't swear, or swear in full the stars are a bit pointless.

ALemonyPea Wed 31-Aug-16 21:41:59

Finally! Thought I was losing the plot.

If you can't type a swear word without stars, then don't type one.

MissBeaHaving Wed 31-Aug-16 21:43:01

My guess is the banned members from the dark side ,they think they might get kicked off if they use bad language here.

We love a fucking good swear hear, don't be shy!wink

Ginslinger Wed 31-Aug-16 21:43:56

If you don't swear just use normal words and leave the stars at home.

MissBeaHaving Wed 31-Aug-16 21:43:59

*here even

Mooey89 Wed 31-Aug-16 21:44:07

Fuck me I'm glad I found this.

I can't even work out what they are trying to say!

Mummyshortlegz Wed 31-Aug-16 21:45:03

meridithssister Wed 31-Aug-16 21:45:28

Maybe a few new recruits from the fluffy side.....

Rrross1ges Wed 31-Aug-16 21:46:50

Tesco are selling sperm whales? In the fish aisle? You'd definitely need a 10p carrier bag for one of those fuckers.

This is the thread rrross.

I totally agree you would most definitely need a bag for life. grin

NavyandWhite Wed 31-Aug-16 21:52:18

It's like babycentre slash Netmums these days round here.

Mummyshortlegz Wed 31-Aug-16 21:54:41

It's all the users having to log in. At least one of those is a total bitch hiding behind her anonymity.

ParanoidGynodroid Wed 31-Aug-16 21:58:03

I've seen so many of these today, too. Can't be arsed working out what they're trying to say half the time.

The S***m whale is hilarious!
