Just that really.. Struggling to keep much down and currently about 8 weeks, been prescribed anti sickness tablets, but they're not helping.

Tried ginger biscuits/toast/crackers and so on.

Help! Sad

sounds awfulSad. Get lots of fresh air, if you can't handle going out maybe just sit in garden for a while. Open all the Windows as well. Fresh air is usually the best thing for sickness.
Hope you feel better soonFlowers

I volunteer for the charity PSS (Pregnancy sickness support). You can contact them via their website and request some support - they will allocate you a volunteer who can give you advice about treatment, either by phone or email.

I had hyperemesis gravidarum during my pregnancies, which is why I became a volunteer. All the volunteers will have had similar experiences and so will sympathise with you.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and I hope you did a treatment that helps with the sickness - there are plenty of options out there. Flowers

I feel your pain Flowers

Nothing worked for me, I could only manage toast, apples, and coffee made with milk for months, in between the vomiting Sad

I went back to the Dr and got prescribed a bunch of stuff, one of which did help a little. Can you go back and see if they can offer you anything else?

What meds have you got?

If they're not working, go back to the GP and get different ones. And everytime someone brightly asks 'have you tried ginger?' just mentally smack them in the chops.

Flowers morning sickness is shit.

I found chain-eating boiled sweets helped me. Ginger is horrible and made me feel worse. But it works for a lot of people.

Go back to the GP and see if you can change your meds. It was the only thing that helped me. They made me feel like a zombie, but at least I could eat and drink basic stuff again.
Try to eat little and often - just a few bits of dry cereal or a couple of crisps. A few sips of water. Lots of rest/sleep.
It's horrible Flowers

Sorry you're going through this - have you got HG? I did with my first girl and had it with my second (due in two weeks) nothing worked for me except being admitted to hospital on drips I'm afraid. Lucozade helped keep me hydrated a little. I took every medicine going and gave up in the end as nothing helped. Time is all that helped in the end (sorry to be a downer!) I hope you get better soon - it's an awful awful thing to have. Flowers X

At the moment anything you can stomach is better than nothing

Eat little and often

I think I got by on plain crisps, polo's and ice poles the first few months

Nothing helped for me except medication - cyclizine took the edge off but was the 3rd one my dr tried. Was still always nauseous but reduced the vomiting. Much sympathy for you, hang in there xxx

Sea bands worked for me, but you have to position them perfectly and they don't work for everyone. They brought constant unbearable nausea down to a faint background nausea so that I could at least eat.

Flat coke helped for me as well.

I didn't have HG, but I did have constant every-waking-moment nausea for the first 21 weeks both times, so huge sympathy from me.

I had horrible all day sickness all 3 pregnancies and tried everything, all that worked was flat full fat Coke preferably cold.. It was like a magic potion! I recommended it to a friend who suffered also and it worked for her too.
Congratulations on your pregnancy X

Yeah I was hospitalised 3 times with dehydration and even managed to throw up all over the floor at work despite anti emitics. My boss was not impressed. The customers were much more understanding

Time. That is the best remedy. I did find however NOT focusing on time and just getting the next shower or next meal or next night over was the only way to cope.

Find something that eases it (like banana chips, pretzels, fruitella sweets, etc) and nibble constantly and very very slowly. I found it held back the vomiting.

Hang in there, it will all be in the past in a short while.

I had this with my daughter, persistent nausea and vomiting up to ten times a day.
I found hunger made it worse so like others have suggested I had a constant supply of hard boiled sweets, ice lollies and for some reason apples!
I tried everything else but they were the only things that gave me any relief
Hope you find something that works for you x

Thank you so much for your suggestions! I've nearly got through an entire tin of boiled sweets I bought on Thursday Blush Time to stock up on some more I think.

Doctor prescribed cyclizine but It really hasn't done anything. The recommended dose is 3 a day but she said 1 should sort it. So not sure whether I should be taking more?

I'd do anything for an ice lolly right now but at work so can't get one Sad Been eating ginger biscuits and chocolate bourbon biscuits all morning, got through a banana and a packet of crisps and just opened a can of diet lemonade. My toast and tea I had at home came straight back out, sorry for the TMI!
