Bachground:
I have worked for my company for 4 years so i know the procedures rules.
We are public facing so have cctv in the public part and 2 staff must be present at all times. The cctv covers nearly everywhere apart from 1 corner where the store cupboard, bin and stationary is kept ( the public never access this part but even if you are in that area you are still classed as on the shop floor as it is open/not blocked off).
A co worker has the cctv facing her desk as she is generally there all the time but she is not my line manager or supervisor.
Over the last 8 months there has been 6 incidents where i have not been at my desk for a few seconds to a few minutes and she has telephoned my co worker, lets call him Ben ( he works on the shop floor with me) to ask where i am.
I am aware the cctv is there for our safety but it feels more like she is watching my every move rather than making sure we are not being murdered. If i was in trouble Ben would not be sat at his desk all relaxed which she can clearly see on the cctv.
She has even questioned my whereabouts when the shop was closed to the public
I recently brought this up in my supervision and my supervisor who has heard 2 phone calls to Ben agreed it was a little off. I said 1 more incident and i will make a formal complaint.
So heres the AIBU.
AIBU to make the formal complaint or should i just ignore it and keep the office peace (we are a very small team) ?
