To ask where is my sodding period?

I was due 3 days ago. Usually as regular as clockwork. Everything went a bit haywire for almost a year after I came off depo but have had a 28 day cycle that I can time to the day for the last 10 months. I've been getting the familiar cramps and lower back ache and been a little over emotional since Monday but still nothing - not even the slight spotting I sometimes get the day before the main event.

I've asked Dr Google but he's been entirely unhelpful. There's zero chance I'm pregnant. So where's my bloody (pun intended) period?

If there's zero chance of pregnancy, either wait or go to the doctor.

I'd feel a bit silly going to the doctor at the moment. I have no other symptoms of anything. I did have the horrific thought that menopause may be rearing its head but I'm only 38 so surely it's not that?

Looks like waiting is the way forward for now. In fact I'm going away today so it's bound to arrive in full slaughterhouse glory the moment I go to sleep in white hotel sheets!

It must be hanging out with mine somewhere. Smile Mine is 8 days late but at 48 I suspect it is menopause related.

Yep middle of the night arrival with a vengeance I bet.

Macro - I've looked down the back of the sofa and everything but no sign. My mum was well into her 50s before her menopause started so I was expecting a good few years before I had to think about it.

I had a really odd cycle a few months ago. Normally regular as clockwork, 27 days each month, no deviation. This one ended up being 41 days. We were TTC as well so it's was extremely stressful. I had one normal cycle the next month and then got pregnant the cycle after (so hopefully no more periods for me for a couple of years!).

I'm 35 and did start worrying about an early menopause, but since I'm now up duffed I guess it was just a blip.

Hope it turns up soon!

Oh, are you absolutely certain no chance of being pregnant? Because the cramping could be implantation cramping. Or it could be late ovulation, which means you should get your period 14 days or so after the cramping. I'm pretty sure hats what happened with my odd cycle.

Have you been exercising a lot recently? Or otherwise been under any kind of stress or strain? My cycle was always regular as clockwork many years ago but went a bit haywire during a relationship breakup - only for one month though. If you're going on holiday today then maybe, if you'e been particularly excited or stressed about the holiday, that may have had an effect?

Really sorry, it seems that I'm having all your lost periods.

Came on six days early not a happy bunny . Bled (bit more than spotting, not quite properly though) for a day. Stopped for a day. Bled for a day. Stopped for a day. Came on properly. Had proper period (five days). Stopped for a day. Bled for a day. Stopped for a day. Bled for a day.

Am now stopped but expecting to be back bleeding tomorrow.

Same happened to me (age 40) I missed for 3 months! It coincided with a nasty fall and head injury I had though. I didn't notice straight away as was busy getting well again. I do think it was stress related

I had this last summer - July one just never arrived, got pregnant a few weeks later so obviously cycle wasn't too screwed up!

Hopefully just a blip - the doc did offer me a blood test but I decided to just see if next one arrived (obv not due to baby!)
