about a car blocking my drive?!

Lighthearted!!!

I feel like in the spirit of my I should be very cross!!

A huge 4x4 blocking half of my double drive (the side with my car on!)

Im not furious because:

with a bit of effort I could probs get my car out If I needed too

I don't need to get my car out right now

I'm assuming it is a visitor to our neighbour who has less parking space than we do

I like our neighbours

should I be raging and imagining all the mean things I will do to the owner?!!

My neighbour often ends up parking part blocking my car. He knows I am pretty good at wriggling out anyway and I know that he will move it as soon as I ask if needed.

Yanbu next door do this quite a lot to me - it is inconsiderate as it means it's hard for me to see if anything's coming up the road as I pull out but not the end of the world :)

Of course YABU.

I suggest you start by pondering over whether to slash their tyres or smear shit over their windscreen Wink

I'm thinking of donning a pinny, a sour face and rollers and going out there with a pointy finger....

Or I could go more modern with some shaving cream on the paintwork perhaps?!

maybe there is someone at the Council I can call...
Hmm

Oh, a car blocked me in the other day just as I was about to go out. I should have gone and raged at him and posted on MN about how U he was. Instead I waited patiently for him and my neighbour to manoeuvre another car onto neighbours drive (the battery had gone flat so they were pushing it) and the leave once they'd finished.

Next time I'll get in an argument (I wouldn't dare!)

The driver is a little old man with a stick!!

Damn those old men...

He even has the cheek to wave hello to me as I set off to the shops with the buggy!

Yabu you should have smeared a shitty nappy on it and put lock tight in the key hole (if it has such a thing)

Log it on 101. These people have to learn. You may not be outraged but spare a thought for the people who are.

I had this the other day. Car parked across my driveway, impossible for me to get in. Knocked at next door and their visitor came out immediately and moved it. Was very apologetic and thought he'd left me enough room. We had a conversation about the awkward dropped kerb which doesn't line up with my drive and therefore means I have to come in and out at a certain angle. We were very British and repeatedly apologized to each other for causing any inconvenience.

I was rather disappointed that he was so polite and that the situation was resolved so quickly as I was rather hoping to start my own parking thread with photos and everything.

I would call 101 and report. Yabu for not getting hopping mad. I suggest you go and scratch the side of the car immediately. That'll teach the selfish bastard!!!

whompingwilly I just love the British-Ness! totally my style.

maybe I should mess up his walking stick - or better still use said stick to knacker his car?!

perhaps I should chuck cat shit over his car.. oh no wait that's the solution to a different problem!!
