AIBU?

To stay in my PJs and allow my daughter screen time all day?

For some reason today I can't 'get going'. I have a mild headache, the house is a bit of a mess. My 18mo daughter is happily wondering around in her nappy, playing or watching you tube.

I need to sort myself out. Have a shower, go for a walk, tidy and clean the house, pluck my eyebrows, maybe go into town.

But! I can't be arsed. I just want to sit here motionless on the sofa.

Can someone please talk to me like I'm a lazy teenager so I snap out of this and get myself in gear?!!!

Take two Panadol, have a cup of tea and some food, enjoy the relaxing for half an hour and then get going. No harm occasionally having a slow day!

I havent left the house since Friday. I usually am on the go but it was bliss.

Even used dinners I premade and had frozen .

Its good to be happy in your own home. That said, a shower and some pain killer will do the trick

I'm still in my pj's so are the DC. We have no plans today so I'm staying in mine all day.

Do it! Unless there is something hugely urgent that must be done.

One lazy day won't hurt

We're still in PJs here. The 5 yo and 2.5 yo are playing reasonably happily together (although making a complete mess of the lounge by pulling all the toys out), I'm on the sofa cuddling the 9 day old and listening to women's hour. All very happy :)
We will head out to the park for running around time after lunch when the sun is not quite so powerful for the newborn. What's the rush if everyone is happy?

Do you think you might be coming down with something?
If I'm a bit ill, I prefer to have a lazy day or two to get over it rather than keeping going and getting properly ill for longer.

We have regular PJ days (kids tend to be naked - their choice). Just watch out for YouTube - it's very easy to get directed to unsuitable videos and the adverts aren't managed well (Walking Dead adverts at the start of Peppa Pig etc). The kids YouTube app deals with all that. Otherwise, relax.

I didn't know there was a kids you tube app!

Well, my lazy day has come to an end thankfully by my parents coming round to fix my dead car. Have now had shower and dressed the child. On my 4th cup of coffee.

I think I might be getting a cold!

I don't really enjoy lazy days. They make me anxious. I need to learn mindfulness or something

Still in my pj's here too! DC are dressed and playing.

We've had such a busy weekend, haven't stopped so I really can't be bothered to move today. I'm getting a cold too and one DC already has it.

Nothing wrong with the odd lazy day.
