AIBU?

To ask how long after rolling over did your baby start to crawl?

Just that really!

My baby's just started rolling over both ways and I'm curious how long it'll take her to be able to crawl.

I know they're all different, just interested in other people's experiences.

Thanks.

Dd was a few months. Dd2 is seven months and only rolled both ways a month ago and a few weeks later was crawling. I thought I had a few months of peace left!

mine didn't.

rolling over was fast and efficient, crawling was too slow for her.

she rolled at 5 months, and was cruising by 7 months. No in between.

DS1 rolled over at 4 months and never crawled. He just rolled everywhere until he walked at 18 months. DS 2 rolled at 3 months and has got up on is hands and knees at 6 months but no forward momentum yet!

My eldest rolled at 2 months, crawled at 10 months, my youngest rolled at 5 months and crawled at 12, he didn't walk untill 18 months but is now the most physically developed of the two. They are all different and there is no answer.

Months. Dd loved sitting up with vwry little support from around 4 months but hated rolling and started rolling over herself at about 5 months. She found out she could roll around the room very efficiently at about 8 months and crawled at 10 months, the same day I went back to work. My dh panicked and bought a playpen the same day!

I can't remember....

Ds (my youngest) was rolling early at around 4 months. He didn't start commando crawling until 7-8 months...and then properly crawling the day before his first birthday.

Dd...I can't remember at all. She didn't crawl until 13 months but bum shuffled everywhere

Rolling at 6.5months, crawling at 7months, cruising at 8.5months, walking alone at 11months. There was a lot of sliding about between rolling and crawling.

DD rolled at 11 months and crawled at 13 months.

DS never rolled or crawled as a baby. He bumshuffled at 11 months and walked at 15 months.

No idea when DD rolled but was crawling at 8 months.
I always say to friends to let the DC take their time.
Be careful what you wish for because once they are mobile it's a fickin' nightmare!

Dd crawled at 8 months and properly learnt to roll 2 weeks later...she had been bum shuffling from about 7 months tho

All three of mine rolled over at around 4 months and crawled at 8 months.

Dd1 rolled after crawling (around 9 months)
Dd2 rolled at 6 weeks, crawled at 5 months. (she is missing her hand so rolling was easier. However crawling was harder)
Ds rolled at 6 months crawled 2 weeks later.

No pattern there.

DS was 7 months later (lazy child)
DD crawled a good few months before she could roll over.

I think you will deduce from this thread that only your baby knows what she's going to do!

Very interesting to read everyone's posts!
Isn't it funny how they're all different!
DD was 4 months old on Friday, will have to wait and see when she starts crawling then.

Another question, when did you move them into their own rooms? She's still in our room at the moment and I'd like her to be in there until she's 6 months old. However, isn't the advice that they should go into a cot when they can roll both ways? There's no way her cot will fit in our room. She's in a Chicco next to me at the moment.

Rolled over back-to-front at 3mo. What a waste of buying a changing table, bugger would try and roll off it!

Crawled at 5mo.

Walked at 8mo3wks Shock

His little baby months didn't last long Sad he is still Speedy Gonzalez at 4.5yo.
