Has your dc had an assessment for Aspergers? The extreme emotions, highly intelligent talk that doesn't yet translate into academic success, the happy at school letting all emotion out when he gets home. Lots of things. Has school not suggested an assessment?

Yes. It is not that. The clinical staff and I wrongly thought that at the start but as there are no problems at school. Aspergers has been ruled out. Hence referral to CAMHS and the final result of my poor parenting.

So parenting tips needed. Ideas in making a child happier to leave the house and interact with other people, would be very welcome.
