What happened to the thread from posters whose 17 year old was friends with 20 year old?

I see the deletion message but no explanation.

I hate when that happens!

I was wondering that too ☺

I had a look at that this morning, thought it was such a load of old piffle. I didn't post on it. Did the OP ever come back to it? It seemed a bit of a "wind em up and watch em" type thread.

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

I reported the thread to MN because the poster was unwell. I don't know what their response was because I have forgotten my email password.

Salmotrutta Sat 30-Jul-16 17:40:53

Ah, maybe that's why then almond.

They didn't put a reason for deletion but maybe that's understandable if the poster is unwell.

almondpudding Sat 30-Jul-16 17:45:03

Okay, got into my account.

MN said deleted due to being a previously banned poster.

I assume I'm allowed to say that?

CaptainCrunch Sat 30-Jul-16 17:45:55

Yes, in other words a troll. It did seem pretty wind up.

PortiaCastis Sat 30-Jul-16 17:48:27

Oh I posted on that thinking I could help. Stupid me!

Salmotrutta Sat 30-Jul-16 17:50:53

A PBP?

Gods sake...

ExtraHotLatteToGo Sat 30-Jul-16 17:51:50

I wrote a long, personal reply, but in the end decided not to post it.

Fucking fed up with all the PBPs

Inkanta Sat 30-Jul-16 17:54:58

The poster didn't ask much really - just should she be worried that her 17 year old daughter has a friend who is 20??

Pretty harmless for a troll.

Sparklingbrook Sat 30-Jul-16 17:57:53

It was a PBP. Not harmless IMO, I wonder what sort of stuff the original ban(s) were for.

it all seemed very familar though....

icedtea Sat 30-Jul-16 18:08:53

I guessed the poster was a troll when I read the message. Might be a guy having a joke - pretending to be a mother and stirring things up.

I think this happens more than we are aware of on these forums.

toadgirl Sat 30-Jul-16 18:09:24

I'm not very IT-minded, but do they ban by IP address? If they did, I believe that would stop banned posters returning?

Pretty harmless for a troll.
