To think this is entirely unfair?

I'm so cross, (I'm also fully aware that I'm cross about something I am privileged enough to be cross about), we accepted an offer on our house at the start of this week and today viewed a house that was absolutely beautiful, in budget and met every requirement we had, just brilliant. Made an offer on it an hour after seeing it and within another hour our buyers had pulled out as they had hedged their bets across 2 properties and we were the unlucky ones. I feel so cross and upset that people are allowed to do this. I just wanted a vent really, but seriously, bloody arses!!! AngrySad

Say you lose out on this house because your buyer pulls out. You might then make an offer on another house that you like, but not as much. What would you do if the sale on your dream home fell through and you got a call from the agent? Would you still buy the second best house to avoid upsetting the seller - or would you go back in for the house you really want?

Yep it's as unfair as the three properties I have had to pull out of buying because the seller has hidden things that they know are either dangerous and costly to repair in the hope I wouldn't have a full survey. I'm currently £2700 down with no property in sight...

The whole housing market is unfair

Thanks for the sympathy One and Madam, it's a huge bummer! Unfortunately no, there's no scope for any other money/loans, we just have to hope we find another buyer before anyone else offers (not that I'm holding out much hope)

smurf I take your point, but this is entirely different as they have been really blasé with our agent and just very matter of fact that they were playing the system to their benefit, although I'm disappointed in God we didn't get further down the line for this to happen.

sexy so sorry to hear that what an absolute pile of the proverbial for you! Sorry you're experiencing this :( here's hoping you find your perfect home soon! Xx

I should add, I do sympathise - I had two buyers pull out when I was selling my first house.
