Apparently I am in a minority of one IRL.

It's just..... urgh. None of that behaviour is funny!

Do you have teenagers OP?

squoosh · 28/07/2016 17:15

The parent obviously wrote these in the hope of 'going viral' on Twitter and Facebook. It seems everyone wants their 15 mins of Facebook fame.

Nope!

That's the type of tongue in cheek notes I'd have left my teenagers when I was going on holiday without the drugs part or annoying neighbours as we have none.

KoalaDownUnder · 28/07/2016 17:18

It's just not actually clever or funny, though? Confused

koala it was a note a mum left for her teenage children. I can see the humour in it. It was her son who put it on Twitter.

They just sound like our old neighbours from hell. That's not the usual teenage antics, it's shitty behaviour.

IMO.

I know what it was - I just think its trying too hard, and failing. Sorry.

Poor parent. I like the handwriting - but that isn't even slightly witty.

Report
Lasagna · 28/07/2016 17:25

No it's not funny. Just showing the world now what shitty people the whole family are.

I have never had to leave any note like that for any of mine or my partners children as I brought them up to be respectful kind people.

I have teenagers, I leave them when we go on holiday, and think it's a great idea, very funny. Makes the point in a humorous way, which is better than just a dry list of rules which would never get read.

This lot sound like the neighbours from hell!

I. Found it a bit boring if I'm honest. I didn't / couldn't read it all.

Somewhere in their house, there will be a "welcome to the madhouse" sign.

Urgh there's nothing worse than something designed to go viral.

I've got teens and i don't think it's funny

I probably could have done better - not more dramatic, just better

Cringe. So fake, the teenager wrote that I take it?

LumpySpacedPrincess · 28/07/2016 17:31

Love the fact their daughter has to be responsible and look after her brother and the dog. The son just has to remember not to spend all their money on prostitutes, just lovely.

I can't imagine calling my kids arseholes, and they seem to make a career out of finding new ways to mess up.

I couldn't get past the bad grammar. Didn't find it funny either.

Super-judgemental, I know, but 'Robbie' does look a bit of a tosser with his cigar.... I mean, that's the pic they chose to accompany the article?
