Not sure but I think it is the weather being unreasonable.

I am laying naked. On top of my bed. Quilts has been banished to the floor.
Window is on vent I hate being in a bungalow

My head is pounding from increased atmospheric pressure.

I'm hot. I'm tired. I'm grumpy.
I can't sleep.

Put a bottle of drink from the fridge under your knees.

Same!!! And I've just looked at the weather for my area (north Manchester) and it's approx 19 degrees ATM - Then I noticed the temp for tomorrow... 30 degrees!!!! 😳
Being ginger, that means I'm stuck inside all day!

Get a Muslin, pillow case, flannel or whatever and rinse with cold water. Position strategically... Definitely helps.

Lying here in bed, I've just heard 2 long sprays, followed by a pungent smell of DS16s deodorant, emanating from his room.
I know he was spraying the soles of his feet. It just amused me. Grin

I spent the evening in a cold bath!

I should start a thread, AIBU to replace my sofa with a giant paddling pool and just live in it for the rest of the summer.

I've just been wandering round the garden with the cat. Heat is oppressive in our house even with windows open.

It's not gone below 27 degrees in our room or in my 8 month old daughter's room all night. It's so miserable.

I've got to be up at 7am so in less than four and a half hours... My mum is sorting her timetable for uni so I said I'll go with her, it may also be to do with the fact that I have ten very overdue library books to hand back/possibly renew.

I'm not tired, despite walking over 6 miles to catch Pokemon! I'm also not hungry at all... But very thirsty.

I really hate this weather Sad

Ordered fans for all 5 of our bedrooms tonight as no one could sleep it's that hot.

Feel awful for my daughter though as her room is at the back of the house and gets the most sun and heat on it all day long in the summer, so is unbearably hot from the minute the sun comes up until about eleven pm when it starts cooling down but doesn't get to a comfortable temperature until about 2. She's off to her boyfriends tomorrow morning as the have ceiling fans in all rooms and he also has a desk fan that she stays will be next to her all day and night. Says she won't be coming home until the fan for her room arrives. Grin Bless her.

I find if I can get my hands and feet cold it help lots. I run my wrists and feet under a cold tap until they are really cold. I don't bother drying them.

Or a cold shower, oat dry and a cold fan blowing over you in bed.

It's really really hot where I am now (Vegas) but thank goodness for air con here. Back horn we are just not geared up for hot (or particularly cold) weather.

Feet in abasin of cold water and a wet facecloth around the neck. Cools all the major arteries . The small fans that fit in the bottom of windows to set up an airflow from one end of the house to the other.
