Posting for traffic!

Hi ladies it's my due date! Grin

Had a sweep 10am.. Midwife said my cervix is central and soft, 50 effacement and 1-2cm dilated..

I had a few pain after but nothing much since about 2pm, only BH... I have been having some clear mucus with browny string bits when I wipe Blush TMI I know!

Bouncing on my ball as I type, do you think labour is far off?? I feel so deflated! Sad

Oooh yes it sounds like things might be starting soon! Is it your first baby? Because unfortunately "soon" could mean tonight, or next week......but I hope it's sooner rather than later! Good luck! Smile

TMI - I remember being in labour with ds2 and I was losing some thick horrid filthy stuff... I spewed all over dh, the midwife and myself as everyone I wiped, more slim came out, midwife said it was the worse she'd seen with being sick... But good news is baby is imminent Grin

It could be anytime. I would try and relax and sleep. You will need your energy

SalemSaberhagen · 15/07/2016 22:39

Don't bank on your waters going, mine had to be broken during labour.

Good luck, and I echo follow, please get some sleep. Labour takes it out of you in a way that nobody can explain, and that tiny newborn won't let you catch up afterwards! Grin

It all sounds very positive. Try and stay as relaxed as you can, tension can delay labour! Lots of rest and lots of carbs while you can still eat. Don't be surprised if you vomit or get an upset tummy, they're both signs that labour is starting.

If your on your yoga ball you could try rotating rather than bouncing which is meant to help the cervix dilate.
Try to rest - babies like to arrive middle of the night so make sure your bag and notes are ready and try to sleep
Good luck

Pack your bag and get some rest. Baby will come when he/she is good and ready. And it sounds like he/she is getting ready.

Oh, and have a helping of Eggplant Parmesan.

LouBlue TMI alert Blush

When I was 70% effaced and 2-3cm dilated, DH tried to 'lighten my mood' by telling me a stupid joke, but I found it absolutely hilarious. I laughed my head off, felt a tidal wave of sickness then, and was sick all over my trainers, just as my waters broke. I went by ambulance up to hospital where I was found to be 8cm! You sound like you're well on the way...

Good luck OP! Flowers can we see a photo when they're here?!

You sound well on your way but unfortunately it could be a day or a week (sorry!)
Bouncing and rotating on the ball really helped me get things moving. But try not to knacker yourself out. Small healthy meals with carbs, lots of water, build up your energy.
I know the waiting is bloody annoying but I promise it's worth it! Good luck Cake

Good on you having a rest. You are going to need lots of energy soon so a good lie in will set up you nicely.

Got told all this with my 3rd. Went into labour 4 days later! Enjoy the calm while you can.

Sadly my first show was 2 weeks before the little horror was actually born. That was a looooong two weeks. Fingers crossed you'll be quicker!

Was a week after a show for me! It was another sweep that got me going. I gorged on a load of pineapple to as someone told me it worked.
