What do you need help with? Something specific or life in general?

Why are you afraid? Do you have any close family or friends nearby?

Very vague OP but if you need help you should ask for it. I have mental health problems and it took me years and years to ask for help because I hate doing so, although life isn't perfect I am now in a good place thanks to the help I've had.

I don't know what you need help with but it's always better to ask than to stuggle alone. I know how scary it can be but please be brave and ask. Flowers

How about as a starting point you just tell us what the problem is. We are strangers behind a screen so you won't have ever have to deal with us in real life. None of us know who you are but you will have told somebody and that is the starting point for moving forward.

I feel like the only person who sees I'm struggling is my child and he doesn't deserve that. He's such a good boy.

I hate feeling like this and I bottle it up then it gets to a breaking point

When my brain wakes up (that moment when you are just about awake but haVnt opened your eyes) I feel happy but then I remember what kind of day it's going to be and I feel sick and just don't want to open my eyes Sad I feel stupid even saying that

Flowers OP. I have no medical training at all, but would tentatively suggest that you talk to your GP, particularly if you have been feeling like this for a while. I really think that would be the best way for you to help both yourself and your son at the moment. Best of luck

I agree that a trip to your GP sounds like a good idea. Struggling to face the world in the morning can be a sign of depression but it can also be a symptom of physical illnesses such a underactive thyroid.

What would I say .....

I think I would feel silly going to a doctor when all I need is a friend... I don't know. I have family but they arnt very supportive and to be honest they are embarrassed of me. But they keep 'close' because they adore my child.....
Or maybe I should say if things are going their way, and I pretend I'm happy and not struggling , they are fine with me.

When I had depression the world seemed like shades of grey. All the colour had been sucked out of my life. I can't remember what I said to my GP but it was something basic like " I am not coping, I feel totally flat and struggle to face the world in the morning". That was enough for the GP to recognise that I was showing signs of depression.
