DH thought it was rubbish apparently hmm
Aibu to be annoyed?!
Do all men throw away your precious things or is it just mine?

LordoftheTits Thu 07-Jul-16 14:32:26

I can't even get DH to put empty packets in the bin. I wish he was over zealous in his cleaning hmm

WallToWallBastards Thu 07-Jul-16 14:32:51

Precious things grin nope but I've had tampon applicators retrieved from the bin and put on the side "just in case" envy

nemno Thu 07-Jul-16 14:32:58

That is annoying. Can I just say that replacing my mooncup was actually beneficial for me. I bought my first mooncup not realising there were other brands/types that might suit me better. My new Fleur is softer and has better capacity.

gamerchick Thu 07-Jul-16 14:33:27

He is going to replace it for you isn't he? To hammer the point home what it is, what is looks like and how much they cost.

It shouldn't happen again.

or did he know what it is and chucked it anyway?

InsufficientlyCaffeinated Thu 07-Jul-16 14:35:09

LTB grin

I'd send him out to buy another though. Hopefully he's the sort that gets embarrassed at buying feminine products so he'll learn his lesson.

RosieandJim89 Thu 07-Jul-16 14:37:04

Ooooo!! My DH is a bit creeped out by them so would probably do the same given the chance!

squoosh Thu 07-Jul-16 14:40:16

Do all men throw away your precious things or is it just mine?

Now I'm picturing you as Gollum........

Arfarfanarf Thu 07-Jul-16 14:40:28

oh yes.

I thought it was rubbish/you'd finished with it/you didn't need it

and my personal favourite - I didn't know what it was so i threw it away.

well pet, if you don't know what something is, before opening the bin, try opening your mouth and asking!

I nearly kicked him out of the car when we were on holiday in the scottish highlands (from derbyshire) because I got to the car and he'd thrown my magazines away. "I thought you'd have read them"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASK

I chuntered about it for about 75 miles. grin

Mind you, he would have the opposite complaint about me. I hang onto stuff long after it really needs to go. And I clutter up the kitchen worktop with gadgets that I then never use.

Meggymoodle Thu 07-Jul-16 14:40:46

I boiled mine dry once sterilising it, which was even more annoying as I couldn't blame anyone else. But yes, my DH likes mine on the side of finance and environment but cannot be in the same room as it and doesn't like discussing it grin

squoosh Thu 07-Jul-16 14:42:05

'You did WHAT to my precious mooncup!?'

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant Thu 07-Jul-16 14:45:27

My ex used to throw mine and ds stuff out.
But never anything of his own.

That white jumper I've never seen you wear...
Yes, my mum got it for my birthday last week.
Oh. Sorry. I threw it out.
Here, have this greying manky misshapen 30 year old one instead.

That old pizza in the fridge...
My leftovers from last night? I thought I would finish it for lunch.
Oh. I gave it to the birds.

HitsAndMrs Thu 07-Jul-16 14:50:22

Squoosh - that's exactly how I feel! I've not been this upset since my DD ruined my Tiffany necklace grin

Fuxake007 Thu 07-Jul-16 15:02:00

Sqoosh just made me snort out loud and choke grin
Don't think DH even knows where the bin is. Screwed up envelopes on the floor is my personal hate...angry

KittensandKnitting Thu 07-Jul-16 15:04:12

lordofthetits I'd be thanking a higher power if DP ever threw anything away...have an envelope sitting on the side that hasn't moved for weeks, I will not give in smile

VoldysGoneMouldy Thu 07-Jul-16 15:25:26

He better replace it! Does he know what it was? RIP Mooncup... I consider mine precious as well grin

gamerchick Thu 07-Jul-16 15:26:35

Ha I'm having a stand off about envelopes as well. grin He's very good in the house but letters and empty meds packets just get put down. It's not irritating me but I'm curious how long they'll sit there.

Newmanwannabe Thu 07-Jul-16 15:28:30

Eek!!!shock

LordoftheTits Thu 07-Jul-16 15:30:05

I can probably beat you all at this game. There is a present that he opened on Christmas Day 2014 still sitting unused on the windowsill, tucked behind the curtain. I don't even think he notices it's still there. I refuse to move it and by this point I want to see how long it will stay there.

Elledouble Thu 07-Jul-16 15:35:02

Ha. My partner won't do all the washing up and put it away, but he'll box all the baby bottles up and hide them just as we're trying to wean our son off breastfeeding... angry

gamerchick Thu 07-Jul-16 15:53:31

Ah lord I think I would be playing a game with it by now. A following him around the house game.

Castasunder Thu 07-Jul-16 15:56:57

Mooncups. I'm intrigued to try one. How would I know what size to buy?

HitsAndMrs Thu 07-Jul-16 16:16:46

He does know what it is but it was in the pouch so he assumed that it was worthless junk!

HitsAndMrs Thu 07-Jul-16 16:19:06

Castasunder - it depends on your age and if you've have children. Get one right now!

WhooooAmI24601 Thu 07-Jul-16 16:21:13

Castasunder buying one was the best thing I ever did.

Mine was in the bathroom cabinet and DS2 took it into the bath with his Playmobil men and boats and made the captain of the ship wear it like a giant hat. It's not been quite the same since.
