Only come on Mnet to talk at people, and don't ever read a bloody thing on here?

Not all. But a definite SOME.

Stratter5 Mon 27-Jun-16 21:20:42

Youre not wrong there

HoneyDragon Mon 27-Jun-16 23:10:59

Nope, I'm thinking Deja Vous needs to come with a DEFCON alert scale for threads on her grin

WorraLiberty Mon 27-Jun-16 23:12:44

Like we didn't know that already.

Have you never read a BF vs FF thread? grin

Just5minswithDacre Mon 27-Jun-16 23:15:03

Completely pointless, as far as I can see.

Just5minswithDacre Mon 27-Jun-16 23:17:04

I dunno Worra. Even on BF/FF, SAHM/WOHM, Inde/State threads people read enough of the other side to find pretext for more offence before they resume yelping.

PurpleRainDiamondsandPearls Mon 27-Jun-16 23:20:50

Yeah, the weather was shit today. Such a shame for the end of June.

WellErrr Mon 27-Jun-16 23:28:49

purple grin

That's not what I meant.

It's just like a gigantic outbreak of cancel the cheque. Only with ops, instead of posts.

Seriously .....I nearly screen shot yesterday when active convos had EXACTLY THE SAME THREAD, four times. <weeps>

Blink1982 Mon 27-Jun-16 23:46:09

Neverendum grin

HoneyDragon Mon 27-Jun-16 23:48:01

Credit to shiny Dave for Neverendum not me.

And further credit to the clever wag on Twitter that immediately called him a bellendum.

Well I'm sick of people calling all Leave voters thick and racist.

And why did people vote Leave?

HoneyDragon Mon 27-Jun-16 23:52:57

I was called a racist before the referendum result fanjo and without being asked my voting preference so I win that petty gripe hands down

fanjoforthemammaries7850 Mon 27-Jun-16 23:58:41

I was called a racist by the sonographer when I was a foetus

fanjoforthemammaries7850 Tue 28-Jun-16 00:00:58

I haven't even seen anyone say all Leave voters are racists.

It's like an urban myth

WellErrr Tue 28-Jun-16 07:15:09

Have t you fanjo? I have.

WellErrr Tue 28-Jun-16 07:18:06

But I still think OP should just cancel the cheque.

What gets me is when you point out to the OPs of all these threads that THERES A TOPIC FOR THIS ----> they get all melodramatic and say they need 'space to grieve.' Thankfully it's only on mumsnet I'm seeing this hysteria.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 Tue 28-Jun-16 07:38:14

No but I don't want to start that argument again.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 Tue 28-Jun-16 07:38:32

On a thread about not endlessly discussing it. Irony fail.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 Tue 28-Jun-16 07:39:15

Sorry honey..I brought it to your thread <bows head in shame>

meditrina Tue 28-Jun-16 07:45:27

There are deffo posters who only blast an agenda (if you are on more than one website, you can sometimes see the 'message of the day' appearing in more than one place).

I think they still have the klaxon at Labour HQ (or in this case, Remain)

There's a particular liking for AstroTurf thread titles, so they keep appearing in Active.

When the nasty other side does it, even a single suspicious thread, then they are pilloried.

Project Fear is becoming Project Doom and Project Dupe.

I think this thread is (probably inadvertently) part of Dupe. Because MN isn't exactly known for incisive or representative political debate these days but likes to pretend it is. So blaming one side for duping the other (by infiltrating new posters) was a pretty inevitable step.

meditrina Tue 28-Jun-16 07:51:04

Sorry, got all serious for a moment there

<hangs head>
<swigs coffee>
<cheers up>

'Twas annoying on when someone threw that into a thread about Corbyn. Unless amongst all the niche and barely used topics there's a 'Labour Party' one.

Dreadful when someone misunderstands a thread.

Oh, hang on....

WellErrr Tue 28-Jun-16 07:53:03

meditrina I didn't understand a word of that grin

fanjoforthemammaries7850 Tue 28-Jun-16 07:54:03

Chill out everyone
