AIBU to feel a bit miserable about my health issues now?

I've never been the healthiest person- asthma, debilitating periods, aneamia. But this year has been especially rubbish...

I've had tonsillitis SEVEN times- it's horrible, and I ended up in AnE with 42 degrees fever twice because of it. This also means I've been on antibiotics pretty much constantly this year and I can feel the side effects really destroying my insides despite the probiotics. I will potentially need a tonsillectomy if the other treatments don't work.

I have severe aneamia and iron deficiency (which is in my tissues, not just my blood). It's so bad, that I've had to had intravenous iron infusions will need blood transfusions in a while as well. The deficiency and anemia makes me constantly tired, prone to infections and very weak.

I almost certainly have endometriosis. I've bled almost constantly for 2 months (which doesn't help the aneamia), my periods are debilitating, and sex is painful too. I'll need to have surgery at some point to confirm the diagnosis and remove the excess tissue.

I have cysts in my ovaries which give me all kinds of hormonal disturbances.

I have something called prolactinemia- the pituitary gland in my brain releases an excess of the hormone prolactin and this causes worse periods, weight fluctuations and random bleeding. I've had an MRI and the cause of this is a non cancerous tumour in the brain. It's non cancerous for now, but they need to keep an eye on it and potentially remove it at some stage which means yet another surgery.

I know there are people with far, far worse problems, so I'm still grateful mine aren't life threatening. But I'm just having a little moment of feeling slightly fed up and a bit scared.

To be honest, if I were you I'd go for the tonsillectomy immediately if it flares up again. I'm of the generation when they were almost routine and had mine taken out at around the age of 8, and I've never had any problems since.

Agree with pp to take a tonsillectomy if offered. Yes GA is always a slight risk, but a simple operation could save weeks and months of pain and antibiotics. I also had mine out aged 6 after years of bouts of tonsillitis and had no ill effects

The trouble is, I'm starting a new role tomorrow (eeeeeek), and I'm really not keen to take 2-4 weeks off for the surgery this soon.

I'm lucky enough to be covered by private insurance via my employer. Therefore it's rather up to me when I want to have it done, but the specialist is not comfortable performing surgery on me while I have severe anramia, since any potential blood loss could worsen it.

So the plan was to bring the aneamia under control first and then do anything else.
