Been together forever, v rarely do I criticise but this pm he is a DICK.

Do you ever think your long term partner / DH is a dick?

What really makes you pissed off with him/her?

Do long term partners /DH/Dw ever get really pissed off with each other? Is it normal?

NoCapes Sat 11-Jun-16 22:52:07

I would say sometimes, just sometimes, DP is not a dick grin

Surely it would be odd if you didn't

This thread is so perfectly timed. I was disinvited by DH's friend to his BBQ today ('there arent going to be any other girls there...'). So DH has sacked me off and gone anyway, leaving me alone on a Saturday night with no notice to plan anything myself. He hasn't been in touch. I have no idea when (or even if) he will be back. I am so angry at the selfishness.

Most of the time he is wonderful, but right now he is a dick.

Yes mine annoys me constantly every day.. Reasons bieng ;
Ever since baby born I'm constantly nagging him to do this do that
I have to ask him to hold the baby when I need to get on with jobs
Silly little things like after on this he STILL doesn't realise he needs to be quiet when baby's in bed!
It drives me crazy!! confused

He's a great dad and good husband most of the time, but introduce sport (watching and doing) into the equation and total dickishness ensues. Drives me mental.

The way dh talked about Jo hart and Harry Kane made me and the DC think he was an utter dick tonight.

That's normal I think!

pambeesley Sat 11-Jun-16 22:55:59

Right now I could kill mine. I'm sat in the corner of a party I don't want to be at!

DioneTheDiabolist Sat 11-Jun-16 22:56:26

Yes!! I wanted to start this very thread today. DH has no concept whatsoever of time. We have 2 DCs and at the weekends, I feel like I'm trying to get THREE kids out the door. He also told me today (when our day out didn't work) that he feels I should be responsible for sorting out weekend plans (hmmmm. along with planning and cooking all meals, childcare,washing, drying, folding etc etc).

He's been really stressed at work, which I do get, but today I did just think-dick. grin

trying hard not to kill the snoring fecker

ItsyBitsyBikini Sat 11-Jun-16 23:00:16

Yes! Mine dropped a metal bar from some drawers on my toe. It fucking hurt. I'm 40 wks pregnant and could be in labour and he's putting his bets on Friday the euro matches tomorrow. What a dick!
He is wonderful most of the time grin

The2Ateam Sat 11-Jun-16 23:00:47

Yes! He's a massive cock sometimes. His morning grumpy moods are the main trigger for me.

ChickadeeChick Sat 11-Jun-16 23:01:47

Ugh yes. Mine is sometimes a dick! Mostly lovely, but the dickishness rears its ugly head sometimes.
I am also sometimes a dick though, so I guess it's pretty balanced! grin

Tequilamockinbird Sat 11-Jun-16 23:04:14

DH is currently lying on the other sofa snoring like a bench saw. So loud that I've had to turn the TV right up.

I can't decide whether to smother him or go to bed and watch TV there instead.

GissASquizz Sat 11-Jun-16 23:05:36

Of course.

EveryoneElsie Sat 11-Jun-16 23:12:04

Steve Coogan explained it in the medium of song;
Everybodies a bit of a Cunt Sometimes.

We all have an inner knob. If you remember the rules of Transactional Analysis, the ideal transaction between two people is;
Adult - Adult
Parent - Parent
Child - Child.

If you go against that its unnatural. So free your Inner Dick and swing it about a bit.

NinaSimoneful Sat 11-Jun-16 23:14:07

If it's not normal then just call me Mrs. Abnormal. 'D'H is getting on my wick in a big way lately.

Currently he is getting the icy cold shoulder because I scrubbed the bathroom sparkly clean and asked him to just not flush the toilet for a bit.

It's not even the fact that he flushed the toilet a few minutes later, it's his attitude to -literally- pissing all over my completely reasonable request that has me trying to remember where the spare duvet is for the sofa.

I probably sound massively overreactingly unreasonable but tbh it's the straw that's broken the disrespect-camels back.

peachpudding Sat 11-Jun-16 23:21:07

I often think DP an obsessive cunt. I do max approx 30 min housework a day, IMO that cleans the house. On top of that DP does another 60 mins cleaning a day. I don't want to live in a museum but if they want to do that its there bag.

What I hate is that I get accused of doing hardly any house work.

Yes, perfect timing.

I am very overweight. I am doing brilliantly on my recently-started diet and starting to incorporate more exercise.

DH has still turned into the Food Police in the last week and gets cross if he thinks I am breaking the diet despite me telling him my hatred of this because my mother (ISSUES!) does it and it makes me feel angry and worthless. Which makes me want to EAT.

He's just done it tonight. I think he thinks that if he isn't hungry, I shouldn't be either. Although I had only had 2 meals today and was on the go non-stop, and neither was the sneaky McDonalds-fest that he creeps off to do every Saturday. So we are in separate rooms and I am fed up with him.

And yes, he's very slim.
