To ask you where you buy your child's clothes (tall and skinny)

The reason I'm asking this is because I'm struggling to find my dd jeans or leggings that are a good fit. She's a couple months off 3 years, very tall with a little waist. The jeans she wears now are from next and pulled in the tightest on the adjustable straps. Around the waist it looks a little bulky and baggy on the bum but her ankles are showing. Thought about getting next size up but they looked even worse with the bagginess.
With leggings they tend to be baggy and fall down to give a builders bum and still be too short.
Anyone with similar shaped kids have any advice?

I had this problem with DD the only thing I have found so far that works are River Island leggings.

H&m. Skinny jeans look funny on them at that age as they rarely fit properly so proper jeans or leggings are the way to go.
M&s jeggings are quite narrow and long as well.

I bought a lot from Verbaudet when mine were small. French children are slighter, i guess as they tended to fit my skinny dds well.

Suggest you post in Style + Beauty section. I did this last summer before getting her her first bikini because she desperately wanted one but I thought we may struggle with her shape.
I honestly thought I'd get hounded out by all the yummy mummys, cos I'm absolutely not a S+B kinda MN-er, but everyone was very helpful and we made really good purchases based on their recommendations.

I'd also add I've spent a fair amount of time sewing elastic at either side of waist bands, and found someone who can do adjustments for school uniform. Dd has also mainly worn cropped trousers, bought for width and then miles too long. And lots of tops that are meant to be past the bum, worn as t-shirts. I'd like to say it gets easier, but the older she gets, the harder it is. At 12 she's too tall for most regular fit adult clothes, but in build most age 10 stuff looks like a tent.

As others have said, Vertbaudet tends to work for the tall and skinny build generally and their 'perfect for' range in narrow is the best I've found for DD. You get the same option with La Redoute (Vertbaudet sister company).

I know your DD is much younger than my
DD (10) she is very tall for her age. I'm 5 2. She's my height and is slightly on the larger side thanks to years of steroids.

I have to get her 13-14yrs size clothing from either Zara or M&S as they still do kiddy versions that don't look too grown up.

Yes, Vertbaudet for trousers, but their leggings are often too wide still for my daughter. Gap leggings, and Hema if you're in London (they are online as well, but I always want to try on). They're a Dutch brand, so usually a good fit for tall children!

We love Fat Face for DD which have been brilliant for her also Polarn Pyret. If you stock up in the sales it helps and the clothes wash really well.

When you get round to needing school uniform, M&S used to do a 'tall' range. I would buy for an age a couple of years younger than DD's actual age to get the waist right but 'tall' so the length worked.
