...for the neighbour's kids to be out playing in the garden, where they have been for the last hour at least? Shouting, arguing, kicking the ball repeatedly against the fence, crying etc. etc. They are about 5 and 3, parents occasionally yelling from inside for them to keep the noise down. So much for my very rare child-free lie in Angry

Ah, this comes up a lot on MN. You need to get a super soaker.

And one of those foghorns-in-a-can for blasting in your own garden around 11pm Grin

My children are currently playing outside with the basket ball.

They have to be quiet until 8am but then it's free game.

Our neighbour's kids are out too, they aren't footballing or fighting but playing and the noise is carrying! It really isn't fair before 9 am on a bloody Bank Holiday.

So they've been there since 6.30? Hmm YANBU.
I was just getting irritated by the fact that Monday is our bin day so I never get to sleep in on a bank holiday past 8am.

Another vote for fog horn in a can.
My neighbour's' kids are the same - both sides - except it's at night!! Kids from the age of 2/3 up to 12/13 out bouncing on trampolines, screaming their little heads off until 10:30/11pm Angry
I'm now to the point where if they wake my baby one more time after I've asked politely for them to keep it down, super-soaker will be deployed.

I have just told my ds he can't go outside till 9 am as our neighbours might still be in bed.

Although one of them thought it was OK to mow their lawn at 730 yesterday morning

Loving the super soaker idea although a paintball gun is more tempting. Yes, they've been out since just before 6.30. They boys don't play well together so there's a lot of bickering and crying, followed by shouting from parents. who sound as though they are yelling from bed Hmm ....

Way too early. I don't let mine out till 9 on the weekends.

Shouting and carrying on at 6.30 am? Inconsiderate as fuck.

I won't let mine out until 9 because I just don't think it's fair if people are trying to have a lay in.

On school days we're arguing getting in the car at 8.30, but that's unavoidable.

A bit of consideration goes a long way with neighbours.
