AIBU?

Sex on tv... Acceptable and expected?

LoveBitOfMN · 27/05/2016 09:14

NC for this
Had seriously enough from programs like Geordie Shore who advocate sex on TV so easily with anyone, and maybe a different one dependant on day of the week!
'Ladies' who barely left their teenage years just get pissed night after night showing their bits, fucking the one that just has to pay a pathetic compliment !
These ladies are stars on TV, they win celebrity big brother etc loved by everyone
The blow job to whatever idiot is their claim to fame..
These are the idols our daughters are inspired to be?? How scary is that?

As for the little male fuckers of those programs... No comment

These programmes are all shite.

It's kind of sad...the girls & lads on them have sold their souls for a bit of 'fame' but to the pimps TV companies it's a case of where there's muck there's brass.

I certainly wouldn't say they're lived by everyone. What they are is exploited young women with zero self esteem. They're nothing to aspire to. It's shameful programming and the people who buy the product are just as bad. It's no better than bear baiting.

Sometimes girls like to have lots of sex and it's got nothing to do with zero self esteem.

Let people live the lives they want to, if the programs are so abhorrent, don't watch them. I've done a fine job of managing not to.

Why have you NC for this?

No comment on the men, yet so much to say about the 'ladies'. Biscuit

"Little male fuckers" - sounds like a comment on the little male fuckers.

I don't watch any of these programmes nor do I read tabloids and therefore remain complete unaware of any of these people as do my children.

It's a very simple matter to excise them from your life - just exercise some discretion in your viewing and reading choices.

What their sex live has to do with you I don't know

If it wasn't on tv why would I care?
Who's Charlotte and why did she win CBB? What is she famous for? Don't you think there are girls out there who would love a selfie with her? If your dd did that wouldn't that worry you?

They aren't loved by everyone. They are 'stars' (if you can call them that) in reality TV only. There are many, many actresses, singers, politicians, sports stars etc that are great role models for young girls that are all over TV as well.

Why no comment on the men??

Be never seem the programme. Try not watching it then it won't bother you so much. Surely that's easy to solve.

And incidentally, if that's who your daughter aspires to be that's on your look out. Parent more.

I'm not watching those fucking programs but I certainly see those individuals everywhere!
Yes it does annoy the hell out of me that they are out for that reason and yes although we should parent more as another PP mentioned , there are vulnerable girls out there who idolise this lifestyle

Why are you even watching them if it annoys you so much? They are fairly easy to avoid.
And 'loved by everyone?' I don't think so.
What about the men fucking anything that moves? Any comment on them? Or just having a pop at the ladies today?

LoveBitOfMN · 27/05/2016 09:46

Men are just as shit
For some reason they don't get as much exposure outside the show hence my frustration on the girls

Where exactly are you seeing them then? In some shitty rag that you read? And how do you know so much about them if you don't watch the programme?

Teach your kids that there's nothing wrong with sex. It's nothing to feel guilty about or shamed for. Primal urges are real.
Make good choices. Be safe. Know the warning signs.

If your daughter wants to go and shag 10 blokes in a month, she will. The only thing you might be able to change is her attitude towards contraception, safety and good vs bad choices.

Women are allowed to like sex ffs. They're even allowed to like it with multiple partners.

Well I'm assuming it was someone from Geordie Shore? Was the girl getting drunk, and shagging and showing her bits on that programme? I don't know what 'Get me out of here' is Confused
