Well, not really rich. Just quickest way to raise circa £500? Already mentally making a list of bits we could sell, will go over the house properly at the weekend to identify more.

Any other ideas? No selling MLM shite though, I'd rather not eat.

CDs etc to that Music Magpie thing? Quicker than selling them on eBay although it does take a while to send them and wait for your payment
eBay, obviously - make sure that whatever you sell you post it tracked/signed so that you don't lose money on 'lost' or 'not received' items
Any old mobile phones hanging around?
Failing all that can you do some temp/bank work somewhere?

A friend makes that amount in a month of car boot sales. She's very organised - she sells everything instead of donating it to charity/handing down to mates.
Market research focus groups pay between £30-100 on average for a couple of hours feedback if you are free to go to them in the evening.

I've never been paid so well per hour than when I waitressed in a naice Gastro pub (I work in a professional field that's considered reasonably well paid now Confused). A few evenings per week, be very polite and attentive, the tips more than made up for he crappy pay*.

  • this was a LONG time ago, pre-financial crash.
