AIBU?

To ask if there is anyway I can make this better?

Essentially I have behaved in an unprofessional way towards a new employer. I'm concerned that there is nothing I can do to rectify my mistake. This is no excuse but i have been emotionally strung-out this year and subsequently lax with communications etc. I don't think apologising will solve the situation as it will seem like an excuse. The gravity of the situation has just hit me.

What did you do?
I'd apologise, and do anything you can to prove yourself

Don't think we can help without more info

What did you do? Not being nosy but we need to know to advise you. Don't panic, don't say or do anything until you've thought this through properly.

Are you the poster that took a we in replying to an email about an induction lunch?

I expect it is a lot less serious than you think. If you can give a vague description of where you think you went wrong, maybe alter some of the details, just to give us a rough idea, there's bound to be someone on here who can give some advice.

We've all cocked, life isn't perfect, all you can do is

A) move forward quickly, don't dwell
B) think about what you've learned, so you don't do it again

Depends what it was I suppose. I do think it's worth giving a face to face apology though. It's not always about the mistake but how we rectify it.
