I think I need people to talk me down from my state of panic.

We are in the process of applying for a mortgage. Everything is set to go.

Valuation done and bank have requested more documents on Tuesday.

One of the documents from my DP accountant came back unsigned. It's all official etc but no sig.

They aren't the most efficient and we've not heard back since Wednesday. I'm gutted it's now the weekend.

AIBU just to sign it? If it was followed up its not like he didn't write it.

Whose signature would you be faking? Your accountant's? Or your DP's?

NickyEds Fri 06-May-16 16:28:18

Is it your signature it requires? Does it have to be witnessed or something?

The accountants confused

Ameliablue Fri 06-May-16 16:35:06

It would be unreasonable to sign it as you could potentially get in a lot of trouble.

Envigi Fri 06-May-16 16:37:51

Don't sign it , you could get into a lot of trouble for faking someone's signature, it's not worth the possible hassle

Thanks I just thought people might say they would confused

Just need to chill out - stressful house buying

NickyEds Fri 06-May-16 16:54:04

No way can you do that!

PPie10 Fri 06-May-16 16:55:36

Why on earth did you even think you could do that??

MrsTerryPratchett Fri 06-May-16 17:10:54

That would be a big fat hell no from everyone!

GrimmauldPlace Fri 06-May-16 17:14:31

You're in panic mode so not thinking rationally. But yes, agree with everyone else with a big fat NO! Hope it doesn't mess things up too much

nervousinthenorth78 Fri 06-May-16 17:23:08

dentydown Fri 06-May-16 17:44:02

Don't sign it. It is fraud!
Is there any way you can turn up at the accountants (thermos and biscuits if need be) and do a sit in at the accountant until s/he signs it there and then?

nervousinthenorth78 Fri 06-May-16 17:46:59

Yes I will, it's just now hanging over me this weekend.

If there is nothing you can do, there is nothing to worry about. The only point of worrying is to find solutions. Just wait, be clam and it will all be OK. <soothing patting> brew
