AIBU?

To drill a hole in my head (lighthearted, i wouldn't really)

Sinusitis. And tooth ache that is worse than labour right now. Can't eat anything apart from luke warm soup and I'm starving! Seeing dentist at 2 but unless they drill a hole through my cheekbone to relieve this pain I think I'll stage a sit in and just stay in the dentists chair. That's not unreasonable is it?!
Seriously tho, 10month old is cutting teeth left right and centre, how is he still managing to be cheerful (every now and then but fucking miserable all night)
Or pliers to pull the bastard out, or tie it to a door?

Are you max dosing on ibuprofen and paracetamol?

My mum had this and they advised max dose of both. P every 4 hours and I two hours after that, so staggering them but both max dose.

I feel your pain. I had similar but it was an accessible abscess that the dentist was able to puncture (yuck) and pain went instantly.

Good luck!

Have you been to your GP for antibiotics and nasal steroids? Also go to boots and get some sinus rinse (or google nasal douching recipe - I think its salt and bicarb plus water).

Whenever I get a sinus infection I get toothache because apparently my tooth nerve is close to my sinuses.

Oh yes! Even got Vicks smothered over my face and tried the teething bonjela. Didn't work. Luckily smallest one is asleep and biggest one is at school so is feeling sorry for myself on the sofa drill safely locked away

Have you tried clove oil? I find it works better for me for toothache than any modern toothache gel.

Off to health food shop as soon as ds wakes up! Does it taste as gross as it sounds?

Totally feel your pain. I developed a huge abscess over the bank holiday (typical) pain was so bad I was feverish and vomiting (and feeling VERY sorry for myself!) I tried allsorts- a warm tea bag, turmeric, salt water blah blah blah. Sent dh to chemist for clove oil as last resort and he came home with something called 'orajel'. Worked an absolute treat for me!

Well, it's not very nice, no. But for me, the pain relief offsets the very strong taste. I try to avoid getting it on my tongue.

I (wrongly) assumed it was a alternative treatment, chemist at the end of the road. Tempted to wake baby up! Hoping it's not a abscess and just coz I'm so blocked up

Panadol extra, I found them to be the best for tooth ache, the worst pain ever, you have my sympathy. Also as mentioned clove oil, but it can burn.

My survival tips are:

Steam.
Hot flannels
Regular ibuprofen & paracetamol - as in properly regular

It's grim though. I hate face ache.
