I got a Fitbit that fell apart and got lost within three days - I wasn't even exercising!

Not even the tampon bags? I thought everyone had received those by the length of the thread!

This has just reminded me that I'm waiting for some fabric softener- I deliberately didn't buy more as I knew it was coming. Irritating.

Report
MirandaWest · 28/04/2016 22:38

I'm also writing for fabric softener

I've had some Cadbury drinking chocolate and got free tickets to Thorpe park last year which was awesome. I got a fantastic griddle pan to try a couple of years ago which I love. Keep trying, you never know!

Hmm. I was chosen to test out a banking app on a smart watch (the watch was provided as part of the trial). The app didnt work with my phone. Spent ages emailing and having long phone to the bank concerned whilst they tried to sort the issue. Lots of emails after that promising a resolution - have been waiting a year now!

Obviously I wasnt able to provide feedback, but interestingly since then I havent been chosen to test anything else (despite being chosen a number of times previously).

I'm waiting for fabric softener too!

I've had a few over the years, some paint, some appletize drink, a freesat box ages ago

Keep trying!

I'm currently testing the Milton travel steriliser. It's the first thing I've signed up for and arrived within a few days.

I tested nappies once, nothing else but I have given up filling stuff in

I was picked to test a fit bug a couple of years ago. I was excited about it but it was a nightmare to set up and use, the app was difficult and it kept emailing me relentlessly once I'd signed up to use it. Then i felt guilt at not appreciating it more. Put me off testing stuff!

Gosh I've tested quite a bit.
Bin bags
Sat nav
Cadburys
School uniform

Well that is reassuring, I haven't had the fabric softener either.

It wouldn't put me off doing it again, even if it never arrives, I lost a minute filling the form in and that's it

FeelingSmurfy · 28/04/2016 23:16

I have to also say that you first ever test was the kcook, God I'm nearly in tears just thinking about it! It arrived when they said it would and has changed my life ever since! Honestly not an exaggeration, it's enabled me to get back in the kitchen and took away the guilt, frustration and upset I had from not cooking anymore

I have also tested pasta sauces and a where's wally colouring book, both also arrived when expected. Some people had an issue with jars being popped (I didn't) and they got replacements, some without even contacting MN just writing on the thread and MN noticing

Keep trying or don't, then there's less competition and I'll get picked more often :o

I've tested a few things now. Off the top of my head:
Car
Harry Potter tour
Satnav
Nappies
Baby stuff - food etc
Snacks
and I'm waiting for fabric conditioner too.

Cadburys haven't sent me anything though

Oh yes, I forgot the school uniform test too - that was fab, at least until DS lost the bloody shoes.

Well you're really lucky not to get anything from Cadburys. Since being taken over by Americans it tastes of utter shit.

Report
DollyTwat · 28/04/2016 23:47

I think I didn't get the Cadbury one because I said it tasted awful and wanted them to change my mind about their chocolate. I'm their target market really

Keep going. I went for ages without being tested and then hit the jackpot with a trip to Butlins just for tots!

I've done remarkably well out of the product tests, actually. We've had nappies, toddler snacks and tampon bags. I'm waiting for fabric softener (glad I bought some last week). I was on the Cadbury's panel but the chocolate on offer wasn't suitable. I couldn't commit to do the baking challenges. Sad. We do buy the nappies and the snacks since testing them. I'm a sucker Smile

AnnMumsnet thank you for the update - I was beginning to wonder if my NDN had filched it! Grin

I've had quite a few trials recently, love taking part in them.

Agree with the poster up thread, those bin bags were amazing Grin.

Cadburys was a bit of a let down though, I envisaged being sent regular chocolatety treats.
