How soon did you test positive?

I have been TTC for nearly a year now due to PCOS and I'm due to start clomid in about 2 weeks after DH has his sperm test.

I had a period (miracle) at the end of March and am pretty sure I ovulated. Anyway, I had cramping last week and very light pink spotting earlier this week. Suddenly I am exhausted at about 4pm onwards, have a 90 min sleep blush for the past 3 days in a row. Based on a pg app, I'd be exactly 4 weeks today but pg tests are negative so far. It's difficult for me to estimate when I'll be late as my periods are extremely irregular. I must admit that I probably regularly look for pg symptoms which aren't there. How soon did you test positive? Surely I should by now if I am in fact pg?

I tested positive 32 days after start of my last period. Hubby didn't believe me as line was so faint. My cycles are every 32 days ish and I think I ovulated late that month

I was 6 weeks pg by the time I missed my period (according to scan) but by my calculations I was 5 weeks pg by missed period. I tested positive (very faint line) 1 day late

Pretty much the same situation as you (but I had the clomid) I got a very faint line the day before I was due on (I was the only person that could see it though! Grin) first response was clear the next day (and so was a boots and clear blue haha!) Good luck x

Day 23 of 28 day cycle

With my second baby I tested every day with a sensitive test and squinted at the stick in bright sunlight. There wasn't even a hint of a line until 14 days after insemination (conceived through clinic).

Really good luck.

I have a 28 day cycle, I tested at day 23 (9 days PO) but knew/strongly suspected I was pregnant at day 21 (metallic taste in mouth and light headedness)

9dpo using Clearblue test, 13 dpo using Internet cheapie tests (I did an Internet cheapie every day from 8 dpo to 13 dpo and it took that long to get even the faintest of lines).

If you've only been using cheap tests, do try a decent one.

10 DPO with a FRER both times (the second time I was confirming the faintest squinter of an IC line).

Day 27 of my cycle with DD. Line was so faint you could hardly see it, DH couldn't but I could. Sent him for a first response and that was clearer.

11 DPO first time, 8 DPO second time. Both FRERs I think. Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I suspect I'm 11days DPO and BFN flashes up really quickly on a first response test so I'm guessing that's not a good sign

6 days before my period was due. I fell pregnant 1st attempt with my first baby and just had a feeling the same was going to happen 2nd time round so I took a test way early and it was positive

BFN 11DPO, bright white where line should have been. Then on Saturday there at 14dpo I tested again as AF didn't come and BFP.

Strong BFP on IC, 14 dpo. Worth waiting!

If you don't have regular periods you could have ovulated later than you thought. Even temping and OPKs are an inexact science. 11 days is a bit early.

It's horrible symptom spotting when you're trying. I have one now and 2 more on way, all assisted conception. If you're not lucky this month good luck with the Clomid.

I also have pcos and was due to start clomid in a few months (was on metformin for now) my cycle had been quite erratic but I tested at a couple of days late (for a normal cycle, so not really late for me as I can go ages) and faint bfp.

If you're not sure, just keep redoing the test every couple of days! And if it is bfn, then good luck with the clomid next month!

Not sure what day po it was but I had a 28 day cycle and tested positive on day 28

Report
Notsure1234 · 27/04/2016 22:38

Oh and even though I tested on day 28 the line was very faint. Just a hint of one on a cheapie and still quite faint on a frer so I imagine I wouldn't have seen a line earlier in my cycle

Mine's PCOS too. Normally has good outcomes with assisted conception if there are no other problems.

With dc3 DH had sex on the 19th and I got a BFP on the 24th, I wasn't due in till the 1st so 6 days early. I knew the day after I was pregnant, it was very weird, and I never had that feeling with my other 2 pregnancies.

I conceived on 3rd July I know that as it way the only time I had sex in that cycle, and I got my bfp on 24th July, so exactly 3 weeks after conception
