To think this sex offender shouldn't have had his curfew lifted so he could go to Glastonbury festival

Just that really.
Sex offender has curfew lifted so he can attend Glastonbury
"A sex offender who attacked a woman while she slept had his curfew lifted so he could go to Glastonbury.

Harry Webb, 21, indecently assaulted a young barmaid while he was high of alcohol and drugs but was spared jail.

He was subject to a three month curfew as part of a suspended prison sentence, meaning he was meant to be at home from 8pm until 6am.

But Judge Peter Blair QC lifted it for seven days from June 21 to June 27 so he does not miss out on the music festival jaunt with his family..."

Personally I think missing out on the festival is tough shit after what he did. He got off lightly enough as it is IMHO Hmm

I despair of this countries attitude to sex offenders I really do! Going to sodding glasto is NOT essential or a human right ffs! Not to mention the copious alcohol there and vulnerable young women!

Exactly Bacon. I just can't believe he's allowed to go. So much for punishment and justice and as you said, there will be loads of alcohol (and drugs) and sleeping women there Hmm. WTF is Judge Blair thinking!? Not of the victim that's for sure. Wanker! Angry

I already posted about this here:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2622570-To-think-this-judge-needs-retiring-on-being-terminally-dim-grounds?msgid=60686526#60686526

And TheSunnySide gave some really good information on that thread about how to go about making a complaint about this decision. I would urge you to do the same.

What gets me the most about it is that the offence took place under the influence of drink and drugs on a sleeping woman. And this judge has decided that letting him go to a place awash with drink and drugs with loads of women sleeping in insecure locations (ie tents) is appropriate.

It's like the circumstances of the attack are being replicated are being replicated as closely as possible with the added bonus of making it much harder for him to be caught in such a huge anonymous place.

It's just crackers. I'm hopeful that the publicity might have put the kibosh on him going though.

No way are YBU. WTF is going on, on this planet. Fucking hard working people can just about get to festivals. AngryAngryAngry.
And if the dirty disgusting beast attacks anyone there, and. Let's be honest. There'll be ample opportunity
I hope the cunt who allowed this his/her head rolls.
These criminals have more fuckin rights and are more respected than law abiding citizens.
And the justice system wonders why people feel aggrieved and get angry.
