Just heard the news about Princes death is true and not a hoax as originally thought.

Is there a hex on people, even in my world, people are dying around us left, right and centre sad

BoopTheSnoot Thu 21-Apr-16 18:23:42

Really shocking, it's horrible sad

Organon8 Thu 21-Apr-16 18:24:43

Nothing is going on. People die every day, nothing new

Fionajsd Thu 21-Apr-16 18:25:52

Awful 😥

Glassofwineneeded Thu 21-Apr-16 18:26:11

Apparently it is true. So sad it's too young to die.

bloodyteenagers Thu 21-Apr-16 18:26:12

Out of all the celebs so far this year to die, this one has shocked me.

Dawndonnaagain Thu 21-Apr-16 18:26:17

Does seem a tad relentless this year Organon.

Purplepicnic Thu 21-Apr-16 18:27:02

There does seem to be an exceptionally high number this year but it's just coincidence.

CaptainCrunch Thu 21-Apr-16 18:28:17

It was in today's Metro that there have been something like 4times the usual amount of celebrity deaths than is statistically expected so the op has a point organon.

TradGirl Thu 21-Apr-16 18:30:00

Yep, another shocker sad

TendonQueen Thu 21-Apr-16 18:31:13

Just had a message about this and was floored. Has it been officially confirmed?

Still getting over Victoria Wood sad

molyholy Thu 21-Apr-16 18:31:56

Totally shocked by this sad news. What an artist he was. Amazing man.

MsJamieFraser Thu 21-Apr-16 18:32:20

Of course people die every year hmm on average around the world 150,000 people die every day.

This year however high profile people have died every other day, I am mid 30's and I have never known high profile people to die at this rate.

We are only in mid April and there have been so many...

the stars who have died in 2016

GunnyHighway Thu 21-Apr-16 18:33:11

I had Farage in the who's next sweepstake

BlackMarigold Thu 21-Apr-16 18:34:27

They were talking about this on R4 earlier, said it'll get worse as baby boomers make up a large percentage of the population. Celebrity culture and "pop' music really took off in the 60's.

What the effing hell is going on in 2016 with deaths

500 people died this week in an over-crowded boat, trying to get to safety.

echt Thu 21-Apr-16 18:36:45

Bloody hell. I saw him play a few weeks ago. He was wonderful; just him, a piano and his IPad.

At the time DH justified the shock ticket price by saying that the way things were these days, what with Bowie, there'd be no knowing if he'd get back to Melbourne.

sad

LittleLionMansMummy Thu 21-Apr-16 18:38:07

Someone should tell the Grim Reaper he's using the wrong fecking list.

HelenTitchener Thu 21-Apr-16 18:40:38

Have a listen to More or Less on Radio 4 catch-up. It's do with how long it is since celebrity became a 'thing' ie there are more old celebrities than there used to be.

twirlypoo Thu 21-Apr-16 18:40:53

Jesus! I thought this was a hoax. It seems a bit relentless (both with celebrities, and as mentioned above tragedies like the people who died trying to get to safety thanks)

carabos Thu 21-Apr-16 18:40:57

It's a gathering. sad

AugustaFinkNottle Thu 21-Apr-16 18:41:00

Someone should tell the Grim Reaper he's using the wrong fecking list.

Exactly. How can it be right to take Victoria Wood and Alan Rickman but leave Daily Mail journos unscathed?

AnyFucker Thu 21-Apr-16 18:42:08

What did he die of...anyone know ?

frikadela01 Thu 21-Apr-16 18:42:21

I'm gobsmacked.

Nikkinackienoo Thu 21-Apr-16 18:45:04

But not all of them have been 'old' Helen
57 isn't old at all
