Yes it's DH. I'm so bloody fed up of him snoring on the fucking sofa, not watching what's he's put on and refusing to go to fucking bed! I end up coming to bed myself just because he's pissing me off so much.

AIBU to think that if he's that tired that he's fucking snoring that he should just bugger off to bed like a normal person??!!

YANBU! DH is dreadful for this. Nodding off on the sofa and then insisting "he's not tired" when I poke him Hmm

I hope not, Notorious I'm far too young to have children using mumsnet! Grin

He's such a bastard. I don't want to be in bed yet but I can't bear listening to him snore in the evening. as well as all fucking night

but but

his nose is running
he doesn't know which way his stomach is going
he thinks he might get cramp
he just wants to finish this drink
after he's finished watching this show
its too early
its too cold
his eye is twitching.

Hmm

Funny how none of that is affecting the 3hrs he's been dead to the world on the couch, but its apparently so bad he can't possibly go to bed.

YANBU - DH does it every Saturday night.

YANBU.

Especially when he's complaining he's tired the next day because if the kids haven't woken him by 6am, his bladder has.

Flowers same here, pisses me off no end.
Bed is for sleeping, living room is for living.
I really would rather DH picked his nose or farted

What about when you wake them up and you get "but I wasn't asleep!"

Yeah alright. That's why your news snoring so loud I thought there was an earthquake

I'm also suffering with you. And he makes the sofa cushions all squashed and untidy!

I used to be dreadful at going to bed, and fell asleep on the sofa all the time still do. It's like when I reach a certain point of tiredness, I just cannot move!
I have to say that when my marriage came to an end, for a whole myriad of reasons, it dawned on me that my lack of discipline in sleep related matters hadn't exactly helped Blush

the denial of snoring is also annoying! YOU WERE.

apparently moving would wake him up, and he's comfy...

Yes!!! My cushions are ruined. Sad It's chuffing selfish to be so noisy and ruin somebody's evening just because of some weird dislike of the actual best place in the world. Who doesn't love bed?

Nobody loves their bed more than me, but I have a weird self-destruct thing going on, when it comes to going to it sensibly.

The husband commented once that I like to make a nest of cushions around me on a night time.

Every cushion serves a purpose as a missile until he goes to bed.

I am that tired person......
I (unintentionally) doze on the sofa most nights (disclaimer; I'm a Childminder, get up at 6 , work till 5.30, eat, then nod off...). I hate doing it...but our bedroom is in the loft and there's 2 flights of stairs and it's soooooo far away when you're tired.....

YANBU my MIL does this. It makes me feel uncomfortable. She lolls there with her mouth open snoring EVERY night. Obv we're not with her every night but when we are, I feel so irritated by this.

Oh dear! I'm the guilty party in this house Blush. When I sit down I collapse & fall asleep. I've been on my feet all day with a busy job & don't stop when I finish until like many of you, kids are asleep & house is tidy & stuff organised for the next day etc.

DH gets really pissed off, and it sounds mad, but I only stay downstairs so he doesn't think I'm being rude & never spending time with him. On average he gets about 16 hrs extra sleep a week...so I'm not surprised he can stay awake later than me!

I would happily got to bed at 9pm, but he looks at me all disappointed & roles his eyes & gets snappy. So I sit & try n stay awake as best I can.

I don't know what to do for the best Confused. Piss him off & just go bed or stay awake & still piss him off.

But anyway. I apologise to all those people that do have to put up with it! I just really need at least 6 hrs a night myself & if I'm not in bed by 10.30 then I just won't get it.

Hookie! It must be our jobs. Wink. It's so demanding & a 10 hour day everyday with no stopping is exhausting. Glad I've got a fellow exhausted colleague!! X
