I am really sorry to post this in 2 places and one in here... I'm doing an application and hair colour is important.

What colour is my hair?

I can see we're helping OP grin

I'd say brown with red undertones (which affects colour taking massively). If it is (maybe a hairdresser would help me out here??)....then blonde is a no no as it just goes brassy.

It's brown.

Dark blonde

You need Ash in the hair colour to prevent it being too brassy when you go blonder. So says my hairdresser.

You won't get anywhere near white blonde with your base.

JSarah Thu 14-Apr-16 21:46:52

I never said I wanted to go blonde? confusedconfusedconfused

Dungandbother Thu 14-Apr-16 21:47:28

Ash is .1 I think

Unhelpfully all the hair brands call their colours dumb ass names now like cute baby blonde and hot honey red.
Bring back simple names and numbered colour.

MargotLovedTom Thu 14-Apr-16 21:48:03

I though OP meant a job application! Dark blonde.

Dungandbother Thu 14-Apr-16 21:48:12

Sorry for blonde assumption.

Warning on red. It's impossible to get out. Full stop. Unless you bleach it blonde.

MuttonCadet Thu 14-Apr-16 21:48:20

I'd say light brown

Veterinari Thu 14-Apr-16 21:48:22

My hairdresser explained this to me. It's not the colour that's importantly it's the tone

True blonde has an ashy tone so even when it's very dark will never be brown but only an ashy-mousy colour

True brown has red tones so includes everything from strawberry blonde to deep chestnut

Basically don't think of it as blond vs brown when colouring, think of it as ash vs red-gold

Yours is more in the red (and thus brown)

It's blonde. I say that as an envious mousey brownenvy
