About transporting soup

I've been asked to supply some homemade soup for 8 to 10 people after a sporting/social event. I'm more than happy to do this but have no idea how to transport it (about 40 miles) - can hardly put it in a big saucepan and cover with foil.

AIBU to ask what sort of containers people use ?

Tupperware containers

I'd put it into one of those giant tupperware things with the clip-on lids and perhaps some cling film around the top to seal it completely.

8-10 people's worth? A couple of empty ice cream tubs.

I probably could do it in my biggest saucepan and deal with cling film and foil and wedge securely on the floor in the back.

Years ago everyone in our family had flasks,I never see them now but they'd be ideal if you could find some.

Freeze it in a lidded plastic container, thaw in pan on low heat at venue.

I have a 2.5L thermos jug. Do you have to keep it hot? If you do and don't have a thermos I have found that the insulated shopping bags Sainsburys sell - the ones with the Velcro tops - are great for that.

Do you have to heat it when you get there? If not, big tuppaware (cake box). If so - slow cooker is really handy for this

2 Litre bottles - the cheapo ones table water comes in from tesco will do. Then reheat on arrival in a pan.

No, don't need to keep it hot.
.
Thanks for the suggestions
