AIBU?

Argh. Huge spider in my bed!

I went to go to bed and there sitting on my lovely White Company sheet was an enormous spider. I am scared of spiders. However since DH is away and I am alone with my cat (no help whatsoever) I quickly got the Hoover and sucked him up and emptied the bag. Now I am as tense as a coiled spring. Aibu to sit up all night just in case his relatives come for revenge? Wwyd?

I'd remove all valuables and burn the house down. Who needs that shit?!

To be fair, it's probably not dead, just in the vacuum bag waiting until the OP is asleep so it can crawl out and wreak its revenge.

Set fire to you bed. Then your bedroom. Then your house. Then your neighbours' houses. And all their gardens. For this is the only way.

Oh, and sue the White Company for having spider-attracting bedding. Bastards.

My cats are also bloody useless in these situations.

Even the one who will attack a daddy long legs from a mile off just looks at them...

For those saying YABU for sucking up one in a Hoover... Those things survive my dyson...

This is why I have a Dyson. I can check the Devils creations are still there without having to remove covers cases or bags Grin

one night last winter I was woken by something tickling my face, I we corner of eye and side of my nose. I ways wear my hair up in bed as it drives me nuts if it's in my face. I thought it was a loose hair that was causing the problem but NO!!!! It was a bastard spider doing river dance across my face Shock

YABVU to have hoovered him/her up! You have caused its children to be parentless, and they will no doubt come looking!

You should have done the glass and piece of card trick and relocated said spider to the great outdoors where it immediately turns around and runs back to your house

I moved a pillow earlier to find a squished spider underneath.
