We went to a theme park with friends today and their similarly aged DD (4 a few weeks ago) was 20cm taller than my DD

DD is nearly 4 and s half, and is 110 cm. She's huge.

My dd (4 last month) is about 102cm. Friends exactly the same age are a lot taller (one of them) or a lot smaller(another). That's what the centile charts are for - shows the variety!

At 4 dd was about 105cm.

She's almost 6 and 129cm. She's nearly as big as me!

DS is 4 next month, I measured him this morning and he's 105cm. There's a lot of variation in his nursery class

Ds is approx 115cm. Mistaken often for 5/6year old. He's a young 4 (dob Jan) and gets a hard time with people expecting more from him. It makes me feel awful. And angry with other people

Do you still have the baby health book for your DD? There will be charts in it giving percentiles and you can see where your DD fits (and whether it is where she was when younger).

Alternately, does your DD wear age 3-4 / 4-5 clothes? In which case she is averagish. If 2-3 she is smaller, and if age 5-6 then taller.

DS is 4.4 and 110cm. His best friend is 116. In his class they range from 98-116 ish. DS is bang on 50% for his age (and weight!).

Ds is 108 cm and is 4 next month. He seems a bit bigger than most in his nursery class.

Dd1, she'll be 5 in September is 123cm. She too gets mistaken for a much older child.

My boy is 116cm and just turned 3. He is in size 6-7 clothes. Ridiculous.

Both of my DDs seem tiny then Four year old is 92cm and 8.5 year old is about 112cm. I'm 5'3" and DP is 6'1".

Teen she still fits in 2-3 clothes. I have her red book but it's in her room so don't want to risk waking her by getting it tonight and I can't find a chart online that my phone will download.

Ds at 110cm is only in age 4-5 years clothing though which is his age basically

My just turned five year old is 124 and the tallest in his class. He's always been on the 97th percentile (or whatever the top one is!) but I'm 6ft and husband is 6ft 6.

Dd2 is 3.5 and around 95cm.
Dd1 is 9.1 and 137cm.

Blimey, Ds is smaller in comparison than I thought. At 4, he was 82cm and now, at nearly 9, is 118cm. I don't really understand it - I'm 5'5" and Dh is 5'11", so not sure why he's so tiny.

My just turned 5 year old (2 weeks ago) is around 120cm & tallest in her class.
There is a real mix of sizes in her reception class & out of school she has friends a good 15+ cm shorter

My little girl is 5 in June. She is 116cm tall. Thats around the 90th centile, so her projected adult height will be around 5'6" - 5'7". Which i dont feel is overly tall for a adult female.

Just remember kids grow at different rates!
Some will be huge and fully grown at 12, others will carry on slowly until 20.

Dc1 is 4 and is 118cm taller than most at preschool, clothes normally 6/7 as I struggle to find anything long enough (very leggy like me)

No idea, but DS turns 4 on Friday. He's already in age 5-6 clothes. DD is just 6 and wears age 7-8 clothes.

They're both taller than most of their friends.

This is an interesting thread - I am 5 ft 3 and DH is 5ft 8.

DS1 was 110cm at 5 years and DS2 is only 105cm. DS1 followed the 50th centile (which is the middle one) until he was 10 then dropped to the 25th and stayed there - he is now 5ft 7 at 19 years.
