To not want to move car...

So so angry.. Just picked dd up from nursery and parked in front of a people carrier. As I got out of the car the woman in it shouts "can u move your at forwards I can they out".
I looked she had f** king 2foot behind and 1/2 to side..
I said. Really? You've got this much space behind! (And probablylookedlikeamiseranle cow in the process)

Frankly cannot believe she had so much space and still wanted me to move forwards. I suppose she was offended and I was annoyed as she shouted it at me.

She gets all pissed off, make some shithead comments and then drives off. (So clearly she could get out).

I then ran to try and stop her car, I'd ran in front as its the sort of car park I could ... Really I just wants to try and clear it up. Her son is in the same room as my daughter and I really don't want to have a arguement with anyone.

She swerved round me,I am basically pleading for her to come back, and now looking like a fucking fool probably..

How should I react? Just move the car next time I suppose. But really. She should get a smaller car!

I will never bring myself to speak to her again. Not that I think I did before.

Maybe she shouldn't have shouted but running in front of her car makes you sound a bit mad.

I don't get it, if she was leaving why did you want her to come back? Let her go, get on with your life

Sounds like you've made it OVERLEY dramatic...
Why chase after after her? I would have ignored her comments as then it would just be HER looking silly

Difficult to say who's at fault really. These situations can arise really quickly. I'd say it's 50/50 to be honest. She shouldn't of shouted if you genuinely left plenty of room for her to get out but you shouldn't of ran in front of her car.

You've behaved ridiculously and if she made a complaint, the Police would be having a word with you.

Did you watch last nights programme about physical aging? Stress is the biggest factor.

Let this sort of suff wash over you, especially outside your DDs Nursery and just as you are picking her up.

I can only imagine what an unedifying sight it was; her shouting and you chasing after her car.

What programmes that? Maybe I should watch it....

I always sometimes react in such a stupid way. And I was only trying to make it better. I wish she had stopped but now it's too late.

Big glass of wine or two to make it numb !

I almost want to write a letter but I need to forget about it !

birdsgottafly what exactly would the police want to speak with OP about? Confused there was no crime....

Thinking about it I react very stupidly in rare situations. Once a year or two.
This time my heart really was in the right place.
I had a long day (started at 5:30 and worked to 17:30) including training someone else in programming for 8.5 hours and 2 hours driving.
So maybe my judgement is poor after those 12 hours...
But... I really was just being lazy not wanting to move my car when no need, and the only reason for chasing was because I wanted to clear the air with her..

I expect she had a long day too.????......

Instead I look stupid and feel angry. Need to learn!

Wow, I don't understand getting so bonkers and irate over something so trivial. Life is too short.

Next time, take a breath and don't over react.

At least it's nursery and not school with a seven year period of seeing her.

Difficult to say, really, as I don't understand what you mean by "1/2 to side"?

Two feet behind and a half foot to the side sounds quite tight.

Anyway just forget about it, no harm done.

Your day sounds ever so stressful, early night for you.

Yup sorry you made yourself look ridiculous. She might not have been confident getting around your car, especially if she has a bigger car. So you came across as rude and then pretty crazy to run in front of her car.

I have a people carrier, it doesn't have sensors, it needs a fair amount of turning room.
