Ds (9 months) cut his two bottom central incisors at 6 months, he then cut his two top lateral incisors one at 8 months, the second yesterday.
No middle teeth at the top.
When do I start to worry?!

Ooh. My 9 month old ds has done the same. Glad to see it isn't THAT unusual...

Has he been to the dentist yet? I was told to start going as soon as DD had 2 teeth so at least they'd be able to advise though personally I wouldn't worry for a bit longer x

My friend's DD didn't cut her first tooth until she was almost 2 years old.

The dentist wasn't worried and said they'd probably all come up at once, which they did.

Oh I'm so pleased to hear that! So many odd responses and looks from other mums!

My dd didn't have any teeth at all til just before her 1st birthday!

I doubt if there is any need to worry but maybe check with HV or a dentist because I think the top two at the front are usually the first to come through.

My son got his first tooth at 9 months. It was his left 'vampire' tooth. We called him fang for a bit.

He didn't get his bottom teeth for a month after that!

My DD has no teeth, she is just over 11 months old. I was worried at first, but now make the most of toothless breastfeeding!

My youngest dd only had four teeth until she turned two. They all came through quite quickly after that. MIL and one of BIL's sons were both v late getting their teeth as well apparently, must run in the family.

I was starting to wonder when she'd get more but no-one else seemed overly concerned.

It's called cross teething. Teeth coming through in the wrong order. Nothing to worry about!! Happened both my boys and my dentist said it was fine and not to worry.

Ds1 didn't have any teeth until 14 months (I was quite worried).

He then got 8 teeth which all came through at the exact same time. And really quickly - he went from 0 teeth to 8 fully erupted teeth in about a fortnight.

My ds didn't get his first tooth til a year old. He was also late losing his baby teeth, was 8 or 9 when they started getting wobbly. Dentist did X-ray and checked he had big teeth, all was fine and was told it wasn't such a bad thing.

As long as he has his permanent teeth in there he'll be fine (when they come through. Until then yes, he will be a toothless wierdo)

DGD had no teeth until 17 months. All present and correct now at age 6 (albeit with the standard charming gaps!).

Richard III was born with teeth, allegedly.

acasualobserver I was coming on to say the same thing. Rather slow teeth than born with.

DD didn't get her first teeth till thirteen months. Her top two canines. She looked like a little vampireGrin

DS2 was the same, we called them his vampire fangs and I though they were dead cute! It's definitely nothing to worry about, his middle ones came through about a month later.

DN didn't have any teeth until he was almost 19 months. Now he's 5 and you'd never know, all 20 in place.

All my children didn't cut any teeth until 13-18m so I think you're fine 😁

Also, dc1's first tooth fell out aged 6.5 years so the later they cut, the later they fall out. Dc1 is 8 and still has all her baby canines.

DS didn't get any teeth until just before 1st birthday. He's now 14 months and has 1.5 teeth. Dentist said its nothing to worry about. All his baby mates are cutting molars. I'm a little jealous but secretly happy that we're not having so many sleepless nights as a consequence.

DD got her first teeth (bottom two) at 9 months. I really wouldn't worry.

Aw, DS cut his in that order (and on about that schedule). I think his front teeth came in 4-6 weeks later. I loved his little vampire fangs. :)
