Am I being unreasonable to be put off by the amount of swearing on Mumsnet?

andsoimback Mon 04-Apr-16 13:14:35

Fuck no.

NeedACleverNN Mon 04-Apr-16 13:14:48

ilovesooty Mon 04-Apr-16 13:14:49

MyKingdomForBrie Mon 04-Apr-16 13:15:15

Not if it bothers you. There's a lot less on Netmums I think.

andsoimback Mon 04-Apr-16 13:15:44

BadDoGooder Mon 04-Apr-16 13:16:25

WizardOfToss Mon 04-Apr-16 13:17:19

Fuck me, not again. Did you not get the answer you wanted last time? <rolls eyes>.

StillStayingClassySanDiego Mon 04-Apr-16 13:17:43

If you don't like it you're in the wrong place.

PaulAnkaTheDog Mon 04-Apr-16 13:18:30

Of course your not being unfuckingreasonable.

PaulAnkaTheDog Mon 04-Apr-16 13:22:36

Two identical threads in as many weeks op? Might I suggest you have a bit too much time on your hands and you should find a hobby?

I think swearing is a good way to pass time.

catsinthecraddle Mon 04-Apr-16 13:23:26

no. YANBU

It's boring, it's a lazy way to express yourself, and it doesn't add anything. Some posters obviously believe swearing make them look clever, they just come across as childish.

Just try to ignore it, and feel sorry for the kids who are being raised by parents who can't stop swearing. I hear a lot of them in front of some schools or in Asda, what can you do.

WhereYouLeftIt Mon 04-Apr-16 13:23:39

We're adults. We swear. That's not going to change. Deal with it, or if you can't, go elsewhere. <shrugs>

BathshebaDarkstone Mon 04-Apr-16 13:23:52

ODFOD, before somebody else says it! grin

Sparklingbrook Mon 04-Apr-16 13:25:06

MN not the site for you perhaps.

AdrenalineFudge Mon 04-Apr-16 13:26:39

For fucks sake. Not this fucking shit again. Yanbu - it is decidedly unbecoming behaviour of ladies.

janethegirl2 Mon 04-Apr-16 13:28:08

No one has to swear. You can use the technically correct vocabulary if you must grin

janethegirl2 Mon 04-Apr-16 13:28:57

Sanguinary copulator!

PaulAnkaTheDog Mon 04-Apr-16 13:29:09

You're joking, right craddle?! I swear like a trooper on here but not around my child. So your point is fucked.

ilovesooty Mon 04-Apr-16 13:29:22

I see you didn't bother returning to the thread you started a few weeks ago.

Twitterqueen Mon 04-Apr-16 13:31:09

Calm down dear... All the words are in the OED so they must be OK. Try making up your own, or even better - bring back some old swear words, like the below.

Zootikins! you must be bored
Well, potzblitz, I could have sworn I bought noodles."
Your dog's dying? Waesucks

More fun [here www.bustle.com/articles/61868-9-obscure-old-swear-words-we-should-bring-back-consarn-it]

catsinthecraddle Mon 04-Apr-16 13:31:41

PaulAnkaTheDog

why bother then, if you have enough vocabulary? I am not joking at all, my youngest ones and I had to witness a charming mother using the F word at least 5 times in the same sentence whilst speaking to her 9 or 10 year old in the supermarket this morning. Charming.

Twitterqueen Mon 04-Apr-16 13:31:46

Oh for fucks sake - link fail. Shit, bugger, dammit

Sunnybitch Mon 04-Apr-16 13:33:32

Yes you ABU!

If you don't like grown adults swearing then maybe you should pop off to netmums hmm
