Seriously, love has nothing to do with this.

It makes me furiousssssssss when these stalker fuckwits get described like this.

"Cherchez la femme" FUCKING HELL

He's a stalker extraordinaire. I would put money on him having some sort of order on him.

They are now saying "it's all about a woman"

No, its not. IT'S ALL ABOUT A FUCKWIT ABUSIVE MAN.

Nobody does this if they are not abusive. Fact.

I said the same to dh when we were watching the news, that any man who is such an attention seeking knob as to hijack a plane to get his ex wife's attention must have been a nightmare husband.

Is that the EgyptAir plane that been hijacked this morning?

How do you know he is stalking his wife, there's very little info on the BBC website

Report
treaclesoda · 29/03/2016 10:04

It was reported on the BBC on TV, that he said it was about his ex wife

NeedACleverNN · 29/03/2016 10:04

That is emotional abuse to the extreme!

Imagine this conversation

So why did you take him back?
Well he threatened to blow himself and a plane up if I didn't take him back so it seemed like I ought to do it
Shock

Amen!

That poor woman, I wish the media would stop romanticising abuse and unwanted advances.

I want to know why the ex wife is on her way to the airport? Abusive twat getting his own way

He is demanding to see his ex-wife

That is why he hijacked the plane.

There are people actually describing this as being "love sick" and "a man desperately trying to get the attention of his ex-wife" FFS

How is it romantic to hijack a plane and terrorise a plane load of passengers and their loved ones?

Hopefully he'll be looking at a jail sentence.

treaclesoda · 29/03/2016 10:07

She's probably on her way to the airport because she feels guilty. Even though she hasn't done anything wrong Sad

Report
fuzzywuzzy · 29/03/2016 10:08

It's possible they need her there to negotiate with him to get him off the plane

The story is not remotely clear. There are more accounts (as he has let some passengers go) and it appears not to be a jihadi or politically motivated attack.

It's not clear either if he does indeed have a suicide belt. If he does, or has something that looks like a suicide belt, then serious questions about Egyptioan airport security need to come under the spotlight. But it is also possible that he just made (plausible) threats.

A media briefing is due soon.

I've got SKY on in the background and they are not reporting it in terms of love. They say he gave one of the exiting passengers a letter asking for contact with a (named nfd) woman. It's being described as a domestic incident, and questions being asked about his psychological state.

I must admit if i was the wife I would be going to the airport just to coax him to give himself up so everyone is safe.

I would then immediately turn my back and demand he was arrested as soon as it was safe to do so.

But we don't know her situation

Sparklingbrook · 29/03/2016 10:12

Oh OK. Sounds like all the facts aren't actually known yet.

givepeasachance · 29/03/2016 10:12

So on comes some official dude and he actually says "there's always a woman involved" followed by an actual group male back slap and chortle.

Well, seriously I always thought it was always a man involved in these violent situations.

The misogyny in this story is mindbending.

I wouldn't be going! He's apparently not armed and he's alone on the plane, all staff and passengers safe

antiqueroadhoe · 29/03/2016 10:14

Appalling control/power issues. He must think he can bully everyone. How terrifying for the passengers and crew.

Think I will catch up on this particular story when all the facts come out.

I just read this too. Poor woman, she probably thought she was safe too. I think they'll use her to lure him out states the obvious but hopefully she'll get substantial protection from him as a result.

Yeah, wouldn't want to slur a guy who decided to hijack a plane......he might have good reason Hmm

I'd promise to get back to him if it got him off that plane. Then he could be arrested and I'd tell him to fuck off.
Of course she's going to the airport. Would anyone sit at home while watching their exH threaten lots of people and do nothing? FFS
