Name changed for obvious reasons!

On Thursday dds school is still in (stupid holidays) . They are the only school locally still in.

DDs sports club is having a big activity session party. Everyone but dd will be able to go as the others are from different schools.

DD has had a really crap time recently at school and really wants to go. I won't lie and say she has 100% attendance as she has had a couple of days off ill but genuinely ill.

Would it be really bad?!

Do it!

Noodledoodledoo Mon 28-Mar-16 19:15:06

What age and what will she miss? Answer depends on those things a lot!

Katedotness1963 Mon 28-Mar-16 19:15:11

Do it, everyone deserves a fun day.

Do it

Mine are all missing half a day the Monday they go back (or possibly a whole day depending on the M6) as it's my mums 70th birthday on the Sunday and we have a big family party 200 miles away!

Do it. How come your school is still in? Surely they must have had Easter off

dilemaoffun Mon 28-Mar-16 19:20:11

They are in Tues - Friday and then split up then.

What kind of message does that send? It's OK to go to school but if something better comes along like a party you can ditch it.
Doesn't sit right with me.

StillStayingClassySanDiego Mon 28-Mar-16 19:25:02

I'd keep her off school and party on!

StillStayingClassySanDiego Mon 28-Mar-16 19:26:32

I'm a TA in reception, we do sod all of any importance in the last few days, it's not a problem.

How old is dd?
She will be doing sports things all day and still learning.

Are they in school on the Friday?

witsender Mon 28-Mar-16 19:32:45

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'm a teacher. Do it

YANBU. Let her attend the party, it sounds like she'd benefit more from the treat than from being in school that day anyway!
