Because they disappear in Chat...

I've spent the day re-doing my finances in readiness for 1st April and have realised that next month's credit card instalments will be the final ones needed to clear the debt that I've spent almost three years paying down. I've typed up letters closing my accounts in readiness, can't wait to be debt free.

Also cheerful because it's been a lazy weekend in a good way, i.e. not mindlessly binging Netflix, but catching up on reading, paperwork, getting stuff done.

Escaping, 18 months ago, (with a bag of clothes hidden in the wheelie bin, my little dog on a string), I have rebuilt my life and tomorrow start my dream job with a company I believe in. New chance at the age of 60. Feeling sunny and full of hope and energy! Reasons to be cheerful? PLENTY! Loves you Mumsnet because you helped helpmekeepstrong get here

Things make make me cheerful, gardening, I've been sowing seeds today, tomato, sweet pepper, French beans, cauliflower and rainbow chard. Lots more to do, I love to watch things grow

Thank you Tess it makes me happy too, just to see it in type. I grew tomatoes last year and beans. This year going for 'heritage' tomatoes a plenty. Loves a tomato salad, I do! So happy!

Reasons to be cheerful = good health, happy marriage and family, financially solvent (not super wealthy, but reasonably secure). Very appreciative of all of these & never take them for granted x

Well done to OP and to RosaRosaRose

My energy levels are on the up, I've got post viral CF and it's now at a level were I can cook again.

I'm washing my hair tomorrow and going to my DDs and seeing my toddler GD, which a couple of weeks ago wasn't do-able.

Raspberry Yes I did. Once I was safe, I posted a thank-you. Reading Mumsnet, in secret, was one of the things that helped me escape. So many reasons to be happy. Not having family in this country I found so much help and support was available once I had the courage to ask. It's there for all the women like me.

Despite a sore throat and general Lurgy I made it to yoga today Smile. Doesn't sound much but I have a toddler and a 9 week old baby and until 3 weeks ago hadn't done any exercise for about a year. I suppose what I'm really thankful for then is a supportive husband who makes it possible. And just to undo any goodness I'm also thankful for my Lindt bunny Blush
