Respect NoBody is disgustingly sexist

Almost 40% of domestic abuse victims are men and women are more likely to be instigators in emotional abuse as well as physical abuse. Granted, abuse against women is more likely to be fatal, but saying that that means we shouldn't treat abuse against men seriously is horrifying. Imagine there was a man who was being abused by his girlfriend but is too scared to say anything about it. The advert treats all men as perpetrators and women as victims meaning this man is going to keep on getting abused and therefore it is okay for this guy to get abused because somewhere else, a woman is getting worse treatment. Not only is this a non sequiter but it is sickening and vile.

Now I'm not saying that you are an idiot,

But I know an enormous fool who likes to make up bullshit statistics,

and she would agree with you....

The first thread didn't use quite such ridiculous hyperbole though.

FGS isn't there a specialist MRA troll forum you'd be happier on?

There's a thread about this, please search it.

The difference between female perpetrators of domestic violence and male perpetrators is that the female ones aren't murdereing partners/ex partners at the rate of two a week. Or is it two a day?

We've done this already. To stop you having to read the other thread... targeted campaigns are good, women die of DV vastly more, the stats which imply the victims are almost as likely to be male are wrong and the actual campaign links to support for men and isn't, in fact, sexist.

There, all sorted.

randomuser I have just this second watched an advert for Canesten. I've noted that no men were used in the advert nor directly mentioned as requiring the treatment. I think you should submit a personal complaint in how you are being missed by the company's direct marketing campaign.

Did you manage to type all that with out banging your head against your screen and muttering about silly people? If so I'm incredibly impressed because I tried several times and failed miserably
