AIBU?

Would anyone like a "Petty Grumbles" topic?

I often think of things that could go in AIBU but, well, I know I'll get a pasting for them not being significant / first world problems etc and I don't always want a pasting.

I know that I could go to Chat (and I do) but even that gets a bit feisty these days.

Yes!

Petty grumbles are the bread and butter of life.

Yep, I think that's what AIBU should be renamed. Maybe people then will expect 'petty grumbles' and lay of the shit like 'it's none of your business' and 'first world problem'.

If we rename AIBU then hopefully we can also kill off the smartarse comment "what's your AIBU though OP?" often deployed to someone in distress has laid their soul bare in an emotional rant.
That's also my petty grumble Grin

Yes. Someone at work took my spoon and I had no-one to tell.

Said this before.

Children on scooters in central London, Oxford St is awful at the best of times, its far worse when having to avoid children on the very busy pavements who are scooting. Not appropriate when they are in corridors in tube stations either! Fine if you live central and using the parks, not fine if you live tube rides away you let them use them wherever.

Sorry, my bruised shins of the past just won't let this go.

Yes we need a petty grumbles to moan about people blocking the aisles in the shops with the 23 members of family who have tagged along, the twats who can't drive or park badly, the kids who won't put their shoes on in the morning...

I'd relish this. However, I can foresee the following consequences:

AIBU posters being told they're being petty and should post in Petty Grumbles

PG posters being told a) they should have posted in AIBU or b) that their problem is too petty even for PG

People moaning about it coming up in Active Conversations because it's too petty for them

People moaning about having a petty topic at all what with all the other possible topics to post in

But don't let that put you off MNHQ. Make it so!

Oh and a friend of mine did something highly cheeky earlier but it didn't warrant an AIBU thread as they were the one being unreasonable and it's too identifying, I would welcome being able to huff and puff about said cheek however.
