I feel like a grouch but my FIL loves giving "food" to my two year old, by food i mean twix, moams, haribo, diet coke, fruit shoot
It makes me so uncomfortable, I have an awful diet (was solely fed on sweets and chicken nuggets) so I'm trying to make healthy choices for my son.
I once took a whole cup of water which my FIL seen but got a fruit shoot out anyway and so obviously my ds wanted that
AIBU? Possibly PFBBlush

You are the parent, not FIL. Tell him to stop. It drives me mad when people use junk as treats for toddlers. What about getting them a new book or going to the park etc.

YANBU or PFB. It's just not necessary for a 2 year old to have this stuff. Once they start school its not so easy, but right now, there's no pressure or nagging for it. If you don't want ds to have sweets or soft drinks you need to tell your FIL he isn't to give him any.

Always trying to do healthy eating with Ds but end up using sweets/chocolate as bribery!

God, what is it with in-laws and junk food for two year olds?

I can't understand why anyone would even consider giving a 2 year old a fruit shoot.

YANBU.

Yanbu I hate the thought of a child so young drinking Coke!

When we visit dh GP they always give the children a fruit shoot and I do manage to bite my tongue but I absolutely hate it as I only give water/milk/actimel and the odd diluting juice

I could not stand by though if it was all of the things your dc eat!
