ds hasn't changed his sheets since before Christmas. Can anyone beat that?

Maryz Thu 10-Mar-16 22:28:06

See, I knew it, none of you can grin

<wins thread>

EveOnline2016 Thu 10-Mar-16 22:29:44

I never have will have to check with the housekeeper

Finola1step Thu 10-Mar-16 22:33:50

You know Maryz that someone will post:
1. You are a slattern for allowing this.
2. My dc change their beds daily.
3. Your ds is being neglected.

Of course, the others then do a mental check of bed linen changes. Or try to. There will be someone out there who can beat your ds' record. But is anyone brave enough to admit it?

Maryz Thu 10-Mar-16 22:36:48

Of course, I could go in and change them for him, but I can't see the bed for the dirty clothes and mugs grin

I did get a cat, so we have no mice issues, you'll be glad to know.

Sparklingbrook Thu 10-Mar-16 22:38:12

They become self cleaning after a month or so like hair. wink

ludog Thu 10-Mar-16 22:39:06

Do you think he might marry my daughter? They sound like soulmatessmile

SalemSaberhagen Thu 10-Mar-16 22:39:10

DD's cot sheet has NEVER been changed. She is 18 months. Beat that.

she has never set foot in her cot and bedshares. Her cot is instead a storage space for bags of outgrown clothes

Diddlydokey Thu 10-Mar-16 22:39:54

He has no appreciation for the clean sheets feeling/smell <shakes head>

SmellySourdough Thu 10-Mar-16 22:42:22

I haven't cleaned behind the fridge since we bought it 4 years ago...

my reasoning, I sometimes clean in front of it, so it's only fair if dh does the back

burblish Thu 10-Mar-16 22:43:08

Not to worry, Maryz - couple more weeks and his bedclothes will be able to walk to the washing machine all by themselves. Job done!

scarednoob Thu 10-Mar-16 22:44:00

My friend went a whole year at university.... Shudder!

Maryz Thu 10-Mar-16 22:46:14

Oh, I like the idea of self-cleaning sheets.

ludog, he has a gf. He won't let her in his room grin

I have never cleaned my oven. Don't ask how old it is [shudder]

ShatnersBassoon Thu 10-Mar-16 22:46:17

Imagine how nice the clean sheet feeling will be when he does eventually wash them.

Sparklingbrook Thu 10-Mar-16 22:48:37

My oven clean man is coming next week. <excited>

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes Thu 10-Mar-16 22:49:21

Normally I'd be grossed out but given that DS (5) has had to be treated for worms again and constant washing given that he likes his new found freedom of sleeping naked Im in envy of this post

AgentProvocateur Thu 10-Mar-16 22:52:07

Yes, DS2 who's 19 and has a girlfriend who SLEEPS OVER hasn't changed his since about October! Vile v

Maryz Thu 10-Mar-16 22:56:09

I might mention worms [hopeful]

On the good side, he showers at least twice, sometimes three times a day don't mention the electricity bills

His gf sleeps over, but not in his room. They pretend to be watching videos in the playroom/garage/junk room/kids room/whatever we should call it.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es Thu 10-Mar-16 22:57:36

There's a separate topic for Christmas you know <misses point of thread>

Maryz Thu 10-Mar-16 22:58:10

Agent, I fear you might have beaten me sad

Can you beat the 17 mugs and 23 glasses he took out last week? I didn't count the bottles [deep sigh]

Tink06 Thu 10-Mar-16 22:58:11

I strongly suspect my D's at uni won't have changed his since September..

Maryz Thu 10-Mar-16 22:59:16

I knew I shouldn't have used the C word [sob]

You are all picking on me. You bjullying bjitches.

Diddlydokey Thu 10-Mar-16 23:04:42

I'm concerned he's watching videos.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es Thu 10-Mar-16 23:04:54

My steam cleaner has revolutionised my oven cleaning habits, but sadly is not capable of changing bed sheets.

ManneryTowers Thu 10-Mar-16 23:06:15
