AIBU?

To be pisses off at dp for eating my cake?

I baked some cupcakes for family the other day and saved two, one for me and one for dp. They're gluten free as I have coeliacs disease. Dp has loads of treats he can eat that I can't. I was looking forward to having it when ds went to sleep (he's a baby) but dp ate both cakes!

Aibu to be pissed off? And can anyone think of a suitable punishment?

Disclaimer: lighthearted post.

Casually remind him that the cake that's on the left/has special decorations/whatever is yours and you've put a strong laxative in it.

Let him quietly panic. Mwah ha ha.

He bakes another batch.

Is he suitably apologetic?

Put laxatives in the next batch, and tell him they're all for him.

I'm also gluten and dairy free - I would be majorly pissed off.
Hide all their biscuits and anything else he could eat. Grin Wink

I once bought a particular brand of frozen pizza that I love and wrote my name on the box. I was saving it but DH ate it and I've never forgiven him. That was years ago and I still remind him of it Grin

I wouldn’t want to eat anything he baked. He once attempted to bake brownies and forgot to add sugar and eggs Grin

Next batch: Cake roulette. Tsp of XXXHot chilli powder in a couple of them. Put a slightly different decoration on top so you know not to choose them. Serve and enjoy.

YANBU

Totally agree with the laxatives or hot chili idea. Also the hiding of his treats.

Let us know what you go with and how it turns out and whether he still thinks it's funny Grin

I thinks I'm going to go with the chilli idea as I have all the ingredients! Will report back Grin

I'm passed off on your behalf! Angry

I think if there are 4 cakes in a box and 4 in the family then you automatically look and take one, that is when everyone can eat everything.

In this case I think he should have left BOTH since its a rare treat for you and it's easy for him to get a treat!

Reminds me of the solitary veggie offering at a buffet and all of the meat eaters taking it before the veggies get there (I'm veggie) Angry

I know it's not the same, but here is my first MN Cake I checked and it's gluten free Grin

I would actually be really annoyed. If you can't eat gluten and this cupcake was the one treat available for you to have then him eating it is just selfish and for him to laugh about it I would be really cross! Angry

I'd bake some more tomorrow and hide them all and only take one when I wanted one.
