I've just come back from a shitty holiday, which is a long story for another day, but the cherry on the cake was that the holiday company that I had arranged the airport transfers with (and paid £125) failed to deliver at either end of the holiday and are refusing to reimburse me.

I have made an ABTA complaint, as they are an ABTA registered agent, and have spent ages uploading all the information I had. I've just received an email saying that because the agent has refused my refund, they can't help me... so aibu in thinking that was a complete waste of time??

I can't see how a company can take £125 of my money, deliver nothing and then nobody can help me get it back!!

Sorry, ranty pants are ON!!!

Hi,

Can I ask how you paid for the holiday/transfers? If credit or debit card you may be able to get a chargeback claim to get a refund for non receipt of service (depending on dates etc).

Pm me if you like.

If it's less that 120 days from the service date (taken from return transfer date) give your bank a call & ask for a chargeback on the basis of non receipt of service.

Hope that helps x

What? if they'd agreed to the refund then you wouldn't need to ask for their help . You're right, OP, ABTA are useless.

Can you twitter/ facebook shame them (either ABTA or the agents) into action?

Small claims court.

Worth it for a) getting £125 back b) satisfaction

You can even do it online.
