To think the Tired Parents thing is bloody creepy?

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but I can't be the only person who finds that Tired Parents thing really weird? It just really freaks me out seeing those horrible faces on the dolls' bodies (or whatever the hell they are) and I don't find it endearing or amusing at all. It's like a nightmare come to life.

FrancisdeSales Mon 07-Mar-16 22:28:21

I agree very weird and also not funny.

AlmaMartyr Mon 07-Mar-16 22:28:43

Oh yes, I hate it. Terribly unfunny and looks creepy.

PuzzleRocks Mon 07-Mar-16 22:28:45

Not just you, they are awful.

BennyTheBall Mon 07-Mar-16 22:30:14

Agreed. Not remotely funny or clever.

Room101isWhereIUsedToLive Mon 07-Mar-16 22:31:50

Yeah and why are they both male?

CaptainCrunch Mon 07-Mar-16 22:33:04

It has already been discussed but I totally agree with you, it's a creepy pile of shite.

DramaAlpaca Mon 07-Mar-16 22:33:22

I agree. It's creepy & not in the least bit funny.

ShamefulPlaceMarker Mon 07-Mar-16 22:34:19

No idea what you're in about confused

MargotLovedTom Mon 07-Mar-16 22:34:41

Well, two men can be parents together, but give me Mitchell and Cameron from Modern Family any day.

Glad I'm not the only one to think it's freaky.

00100001 Mon 07-Mar-16 22:35:27

Its very shit

ShamefulPlaceMarker Mon 07-Mar-16 22:36:25

Okay, just googled.
I got 10seconds in to the gym one and thought it was shite.

Disabrie22 Mon 07-Mar-16 22:36:41

I agree - why is it on Mumsnet? It's awful

00100001 Mon 07-Mar-16 22:43:34

he t doesn't seem to be doing very well

knittingwithnettles Mon 07-Mar-16 22:51:49

I think it is hilarious. Sometimes a bit too short...Just the way partners constantly bicker and undermine each other...resentment, oneupman ship wilful misunderstanding even when one is trying to be pleasant. The trivia that makes up our conversations as parents, when we attempt depth and profondity. And the hair rings so true.

refreshing

fusionconfusion Mon 07-Mar-16 23:08:12

Absolutely dreadful creepy SHITE for me too. The dialogue is okay but having two men in weird costumes and those dolls? Ick.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut Mon 07-Mar-16 23:09:35

Yanbu.

hiddenhome2 Mon 07-Mar-16 23:20:19

I think it's really funny and brings back not so fond memories of when mine were little grin

VagueIdeas Mon 07-Mar-16 23:27:07

Just seeing the screencap that heralds each new episode is enough to make me never want to click on them.

Why is it a Mumsnet thing? What started it?

MargotLovedTom Tue 08-Mar-16 10:48:30

I don't know, but I'd like it to go away.

AlpacaLypse Tue 08-Mar-16 10:51:15

I watched the first four when it first appeared in the stickies, that's nearly half an hour of my life I will never get back. Kept thinking 'it's got to improve, other people have made positive comments about it'.

It didn't.

VocationalGoat Tue 08-Mar-16 10:57:17

I tried to be nice and supportive with the first one and I wrote an encouraging comment.
I haven't watched since for obvious reasons.
It needs to just go away now.

BeardMinge Tue 08-Mar-16 10:58:01

Half an hour? Am I just watching trailer then? Each episode only seems to be a minute or so long.

Some of it raises a wry smile from me, but then I'm only just out of the tiny baby, not enough sleep phase.

The hair is creepy though.

EponasWildDaughter Tue 08-Mar-16 11:44:37

It has been discussed before. But i agree with you!

Didn't we come to the conclusion that it's a MNers DH that makes them? and that she had a derogatory thread about him once

MargotLovedTom Tue 08-Mar-16 13:11:01

Ha, I'd be feeling derogatory about my husband too if he produced that warped shite.
