AIBU?

To think the Tired Parents thing is bloody creepy?

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but I can't be the only person who finds that Tired Parents thing really weird? It just really freaks me out seeing those horrible faces on the dolls' bodies (or whatever the hell they are) and I don't find it endearing or amusing at all. It's like a nightmare come to life.

Not just you, they are awful.

Agreed. Not remotely funny or clever.

It has already been discussed but I totally agree with you, it's a creepy pile of shite.

I agree. It's creepy & not in the least bit funny.

No idea what you're in about Confused

Well, two men can be parents together, but give me Mitchell and Cameron from Modern Family any day.

Glad I'm not the only one to think it's freaky.

I think it is hilarious. Sometimes a bit too short...Just the way partners constantly bicker and undermine each other...resentment, oneupman ship wilful misunderstanding even when one is trying to be pleasant. The trivia that makes up our conversations as parents, when we attempt depth and profondity. And the hair rings so true.

refreshing

Absolutely dreadful creepy SHITE for me too. The dialogue is okay but having two men in weird costumes and those dolls? Ick.

Just seeing the screencap that heralds each new episode is enough to make me never want to click on them.

Why is it a Mumsnet thing? What started it?

I don't know, but I'd like it to go away.

I watched the first four when it first appeared in the stickies, that's nearly half an hour of my life I will never get back. Kept thinking 'it's got to improve, other people have made positive comments about it'.

It didn't.

Half an hour? Am I just watching trailer then? Each episode only seems to be a minute or so long.

Some of it raises a wry smile from me, but then I'm only just out of the tiny baby, not enough sleep phase.

The hair is creepy though.

It has been discussed before. But i agree with you!

Didn't we come to the conclusion that it's a MNers DH that makes them? and that she had a derogatory thread about him once

Report
MargotLovedTom · 08/03/2016 13:11

Ha, I'd be feeling derogatory about my husband too if he produced that warped shite.

I don't like it, two freaky little dolls with miserable mens faces, being spiteful and rude to each other is seriously depressing and a little bit twisted.
