He messed around with my take away curry!

It is rare we have a take away, and for me its always the same thing. I have tried many different dishes over the years, but always regret it. He knows this.

But for some reason he ordered a wide small taste selection of different dishes. There was a small sample of my favourite meal included, but he had the full size dish of his favourite. There was also loads of naan bread and I only have a small bit of this on occasionally.
There were some sauces, one a snotty whipped egg/yogurt thing that looked repellent.

Anyway, I feel cheated. quite a lot left over blobs of goo left and all sauces, but in the end ate a decent amount of what I liked.

Am I being Unreasonable?

Did you ask him why he didn't order what you wanted?

SquidgeyMidgey Fri 26-Feb-16 20:38:38

Do you think it was deliberate or thoughtless? It would annoy me too.

XiCi Fri 26-Feb-16 20:38:51

Surely you would have told him what you wanted to order? If dh, or anyone else for that matter, had ordered for me I'd be furious, especially if getting a takeaway was a treat.

We never get takeaway without the "what do you want conversation!" But then we rarely get takeaway.

DoreenLethal Fri 26-Feb-16 20:45:37

Of course you should feel cheated? Why the fuck did he do this?

crackedphone Fri 26-Feb-16 20:50:06

The 'he' is my husband. and yes we did talk about what we wanted. The usual.

He has apologised and said he thought I might like to try something new.

ugh! so disappointed. and being a sulky cow about it.

SquidgeyMidgey Fri 26-Feb-16 20:51:46

I would sulk about that. Silly bugger should know better. Make him go and get you something nice wink

gamerchick Fri 26-Feb-16 20:53:03

You do the order next time and order him a phall. He might like to try something new. Well unless that's what he usually gets.

Don't fuck with the curry man angry

crackedphone Fri 26-Feb-16 20:54:56

he is my husband. apparently I am being a bit of a bitch complaining about it. He only thought I might want to try something new. Sadly nothing was new, all stuff I would consider a side dish and 2 of which looked like a bag of frozen veg with curry sauce. To be fair he wouldnt know that before he got it. btw how do you share one samosa with 4 adults? or one of those tikka sausage looking things? (I hate them anyway)

springscoming Fri 26-Feb-16 20:55:12

Fucking hell YDANBU. You have serious training issues there.

springscoming Fri 26-Feb-16 20:58:15

Start the training with the take away episode from Gavin and Stacey. If he's a fast learner, that ought to be enough but you might have to fuck about with his weekday dinners for a bit just to consolidate the learning.

Arfarfanarf Fri 26-Feb-16 21:02:02

How come he had the full size dish of his favourite? Id be more sympathetic to his claim if it wasnt for the fact he made sure he got what he liked.

MrsHathaway Fri 26-Feb-16 21:03:13

The bit that proves he's the unreasonable one is the bit where he got a full portion of his own favourite.

Full portion of his, full portion of yours, additional snot and grobbles you can ignore - that would have been fine. But nooooooooooo. He wanted you to try something different without his having to risk his pleasure.

Buy a KitKat Chunky and eat it in front of him without sharing. That'll learn him.

JuneFromBethesda Fri 26-Feb-16 21:19:07

Not acceptable. I would be seriously pissed off too.

Because I'm nosy I want to know what it is that you always have grin (I always have the same thing too - our local Indian takeaway does a chicken balti korma that is the MOST delicious thing ever * drool * )

TaliZorahVasNormandy Fri 26-Feb-16 21:20:09

Order another one and dont get him any.

comedycentral Fri 26-Feb-16 21:22:03

I had takeaway curry tonight and I would not have been pleased if my husband changed my order without asking!

Poor you!

VagueIdeas Fri 26-Feb-16 21:24:01

There was a small sample of my favourite meal included, but he had the full size dish of his favourite

So how come he thought to order a full size of his favourite but not yours? LTB grin

crackedphone Fri 26-Feb-16 21:24:04

I have onion bahjis, and chicken tikka massala with mushroom rice.

if I need a side dish, takka dahl or saag aloo.

ByThePrickingOfMyThumbs Fri 26-Feb-16 21:26:46

I'd be really pissed off.

He ordered his favourite for himself, but some random stuff for you? Fuck that.

Quietwhenreading Fri 26-Feb-16 21:26:49

My DH just walked through the door with our curry. I told him about your situation cracked. His response?

"What a fucker!"

DoreenLethal Fri 26-Feb-16 21:32:31

Do you know what, in honour of your lost curry i am going to have the OH get take out tomorrow night.

Longdistance Fri 26-Feb-16 21:36:46

You tell him, that if you wanted to try something new and different you would have told him so.

Sulk away, I would.

He doesn't get to choose what you eat!
