I've had a shit day (but very rewarding and full of love), only eaten 4 weetabix, just got in from looking after my grandad all day because he has Alzheimer's and I'm his main carer. He had a fall last night and has taken up all my mental and physical strength since yesterday afternoon.

I'm bloody starving now.
So AIBU to go and cook myself chips and fried egg right now?

I love you all!!! The chips are in the oven, and they're the posh McCain home fried chips (bloody lovely) and I didn't even think about the red sauce til you lot suggested it.

This is definitely happening!
Can't wait now!!!

I've just finished a fry up, saw someone cooking one on 4 weddings and a funeral and it gave me the appetite for one!

my favourite late night snack is a crisp butty. thick white, loads of butter and a full pack of cheese and onion walkers. squish down and devour.

In a nutshell, go for it!!

Two eggs, one is just not enough and you need to dunk the chips in the yolk of course.
You also need white bread and butter and a cup of tea.
Sauce is only allowed if it does not touch the egg.

Do it! It sounds like it is well deserved as well, have a thick slice of bread and butter for me.....to mop up all the sauce slobbers

I stopped myself making a bacon sandwich earlier becaus I'm trying to pretend I'm a grown up. I'm glad you've surrendered to the joy of fabulous snacking, enjoy!

eggs are so wrong though, but as long as I don't have to eat them I can cope

HAS to be thick white bread smothered in butter. If you're going to do it - do it right! Grin

Omg it's sooooo good!!!!
2 eggs, chips and sauce all over the chips. No bread and butter though sorry, I'm not fussy on bread.

I know, I'm a disappointment to myself.

Well done for looking after your Grandad, you are doing something amazing (my mum had early onset alzheimers so I know you are doing a very hard and emotional thing). I think you can eat whatever you want and if that'suits what you want, go for it. If you were my friend you'd be eating the box of chocs I'd bought you for pudding too. (Or wine, in fact probably just wine, with me Wine )
