I hope that's not you Dolores. Don't go getting punchy with any flight attendants this time. You're not the Queen of Limerick, you're a very naughty girl.

Lovely song. Beautiful.

I can't remember any of it apart from the 'do you have to, do you have to...' bit which is now stuck in my head. What's lingering for you then op?

Warning: Do not read the rest of this post if you like the song, Linger, by The Cranberries.

When it came out, my boyfriend at the time would sing "Do you have to smell my finger".Hmm It put me right off the song.Angry

Caught I was a bit squiffed!! Dione I will now not be able to listen to that again without putting the new words in.

Not sure why it does, just seemed to strike a chord in my wine-brain last night Blush

The Cranberries were the ultimate singalongwhenbladdered band though.
"Wassinyaarheeeeeaaaad, inyaaarheeeaaaaad zoyommbay zoyombay zoyombayeurgh ayyuh ayyyuuh ayuh ohhhuh........." ad nauseum.

We used to sing 'are you having that fish finger. Are you having, are you having, are you having that fish finger?' It became a sort of code for 'can I eat your leftovers' in one of my flats.

I need to go and play the Cranberries now...

Who knew haha! I used to be obsessed with The Cranberries when I was a teen. The bloody song has been going round and round in my head since seeing (and remembering I started) this thread. Now though, I have a whole new set of lyrics to put in the chorus

We used to sing 'cunnilingus' to it. That's all I can hear when it's on now.

Ok, so I've listened to it again today sober and I have no frickin' clue why I thought it summed up life 'quite honestly'! God knows why I decided it did last night, it has no links to my real life at all I wasn't even that pissed! Next time I will be saying The Birdie Song makes me think of my teenage years Wine
